Hi every -one
I havn't posted for a long time but I have been lurking, as we call it. Not on purpose all the time, I had a little trouble getting a new password etc. my fault.
I have a question for all of us Cathe fans. I'm waiting for the new series of workouts to come, as many of you have I also pre-ordered.
I have seen many good things said about the P90X workouts, please tell me if they are as good as they claim. I am spoiled by Cathe as well you know. So any input to this as I make my Christmas list would be very much apriciated as I respect all Cathe fan opinions.

Thank-you, Merry Christmas! Brigitte:)

I think P90X is great. I did 2 rotations and got great results, but I also ate very clean! The upper body work is awesome and a bit different than Cathe but very challenging. The Ab workout and the Core workout are great. It is a bit light on legwork so I usually did a Cathe leg workout in the week along with P90X. The kickbox (KenpoX) wasn't one of my fav's as I prefer Cathe kickboxing. There is a Plyo workout that I really liked, even tougher than the Imaxes IMO. This was my first time doing Yoga with P90X and I really enjoyed it...P90X is definitely a good investment...:)...Carole

I like P90Xand got great upper body results too. It's really different than cathe, or anything else out there. You go at your own pace, determine your own rep count, and the music is sort of nondescript. Tony is a good motivator, but I can only take so much of him. I like the option to turn off the Tony chatter and just hear cues and music. I love the Plyo workout but the rest of his cardio is (yawn) not that great. He has some different and fun stuff and it is structured unlike any other workout video I've seen. I would recommend it just for the variety.

I agree with everything Carole said (thanks, Carole, it saves me some typing!!;-) )

I also think the rotation that P90X set up is an excellent tool, and it can really teach you how to set up rotations that are balanced and effective (except for the lighter rotation, which seems more an afterthoght and is not balanced). I even learned to appreciate and like yoga from P90X, after trying for a long time.

I think the upper body workout work SO WeLL partly because of the way they are set up, to allow sufficient recovery between moves for the same muscle (working shoulder, then biceps, then triceps, then repeating, then taking a dynamic stretch----which Tony mislables "balistic" stretches---break before moving on with new exercises; or doing a chest move, then a back move, etc.)

P90X is one of the best fitness DVD purchases I have ever made, and definitely my best purchase in the last 2 or 3 years.

If you do a search (as we call it) in the Open Forum, you'll find a lot of info (and gushing) about P90X.

Thank-you Ladies,

Your replies are very much apriciated, if I don't receive it for
Christmas it will be my New years gift to myself.
I have read so many threads about the awesome results the harcore series have brought people. I have had great results as well, so P90X sounds like a great addition to my program.
I teach at an all Ladeis gym here in Canada, and night classes for the School board of Niagara. I've been teaching for years, I am a new Personal Trainer and it feels so good to finally look one too.
Thank-you again ladies you're awesome
:)
