p90x+

Has anyone tried the kenpo+ yet? I didnt really like the first one. I am debating on ordering these since I really havent used p90x much. But the interval x sounds great, I wonder if you can just order them seperately.

I just wanted to love the P90x but I have hardly used it. I just don't care for the music and while I find Tony likable I find him cheesy. One of my goals for this year is to add more of the workouts in my rotations but I don't think I'll be one of those "P90X graduates" anytime soon (kudos to those who are of course!)

BTW, once the plus workouts on are the market for a while you may be able to pick up the individual workouts on ebay. I am not sure if Beachbody will sell the separately.

Ya know Beavs, you can silence the bad music as well as Tony's cheesey jokes if you want! Play with the options. You may find something you can tolerate! :)

I just did it this morning!! Honestly, I felt the same way about the original Kenpo, it was just too slow for me & I didn't feel like I got a very good workout out of it. I usually either sub in a run or one of Cathe's kickboxing. But I really liked this one. I used my TJ weighted gloves and that really helped work up a sweat!! (and I wouldn't say that if I didn't!!) It's 45 min and you start w/ about 7 min of stretching & a little yoga and then you get started!

And I didn't care for Tony as much when I started P90X, but now I just love him. Cheesy maybe, but he still cracks me up!

Hope that helps! And I don't think BB will sell them separately, but like someone else said you could try ebay (good luck!).

I did Kenpo+ this morning and liked it a lot, but I did like the original Kenpo. I thought that this one was similar, but more intense and moved from move to move quicker with no breakdown. I also used weighted gloves and felt like I got a good workout. I definitely prefer the new Kenpo+ to the original.

Yep, ITA. Similar in some moves but definitely more intense & the Tony went a lot faster from move to move. I love the weighted gloves!

Does he workout shirtless in any of the new videos?:p That might motivte me to buy them.;-)

He is pretty cute, you gotta admit. Oh, is Drea back too?

Dreya isn't in these. Well, I've done three of the workouts and it's the same crew in the three I've done. I can't say for sure that Dreya isn't in the other workouts. Tony isn't shirtless, but the male background exerciser is in the abs/core workout.

I might have to try these even though I havent done the firsty series much. I havent bought cathe's 4 day split yet either. I always rush to buy workouts then I am busy with running or my bootcamp class and never get to use them much.

i cancelled my order to the 4 day split after hearing about p90x+. so excited-it will come in week

Blasphemy!   LOL!

I echo Catherine's sentiments. 4DS is AWESOME! I have done the leg work and I LOVE IT, I've done some premixes and they are GREAT and I've done the workouts as is-WONDERFUL!

You really should save your pennies and and buy it, girl!;)

If it will make you feel any better, I just ordered P90X+ too!}( :+

Are the weight workouts as challenging as the original weight workouts and because it's a shorter time, do you still feel as though your getting a good workout? I love the idea that it is a shorter workout? Thanks

I love 4D split. It fits so well into my schedule! It goes so fast. I feel like I'm getting a good workout. Each time I've done chest and back, I've gotten DOMS.
THe heavier weight makes such a difference. There aren't as many reps needed, but you definately can challenge yourself with the right weight. For me, I like the straight forward approach, cardio first and then weights. Each time I've done the workouts, its gotten smoother (esp. weight selection), and a better workout. For the weight workout portion, I feel like I'm getting a pretty good workout.

Hope that helps. Ditto - The premixes rock!
