P90X Phases

Hi all,

Has anyone ever switched the focus of the phases in P90X? For example, I'm in Phase 1, Week 3 right now. I've been lifting heavy, 8-10 reps max. I was thinking about switching to a more endurance based routine for phase 2, then alternating strength/endurance for the final phase. Or should I just stick to the rotation as is? Any opinions would be much appreciated.

I think you should give it a shot. What can it hurt? Change is good, right? I think it would make the rotation alot more interesting! Keep us posted on how it's going! :)
 
Hey Klaudia! I haven't switched each phase like that, but some weeks that I just don't feel like it, I'll do more reps/ lighter weight just for a change! Let me know how it works for you! I just did Chest & Back tonight... Phase 3 for me! :D

Phase 1, I did 15 to 16 reps. By Phase 2, I wanted to stop playing around and went heavier with 6 to 8 reps.

I think if you've been doing P90x for a while, switching it up is good. I do all kinds of modifications with it, and sometimes combine it with P90x plus. Good luck!
