P90X January Starters, Wednesday!!!

Hey Xers!:)

I am very aware of my legs from y'day's work out. I am thinking I will have some nice DOMS before long today!}(

Today is Back and Biceps/ARX for me. Not my fave of the X work outs but I'll live! LOL :p

For anyone that may be in the path of the nor'easter-stay safe! I got coverage at work y'day in anticipation of the weather so I don't have to go anywhere today!:)
 
Hey Wendy - I have definite DOMS from yesterdays shoulders and arms and Ab ripperX.}( }(

Today is YogaX, but not sure I will have time - I might be taking DS out for a Valentine's supper of his choice since DH is working tonight.:-(

I'm lovin' P90X, but as usual I'm trying to get past the fact that it takes time to see results. I've been very faithful for four days and already looking in the mirror wondering when the inches will fall off?!?!? x( :-( x( I've been eating very good, too, so of course, I'm expecting huge things even though I KNOW it takes time.

OK - back to work and clean eating. :)

Hey Everyone -

The weather here is really lousy!!! We're having an ice storm and, of course, I made it to work. I now regret coming.

I did Legs and Back last evening. I love that workout. The time flies by.

I ordered the book Clean Eating from Amazon and just received my shipping notice. I can't wait until it arrives based on the results that Traci had following it.

Okay, have a great day. Today is Kenpo for me which I also love.

Marcia Marcia Marcia...Did you do measurements/pics yet? Get through phase 1 and I'm sure you will get results but if you don't measure they may or may not be obvious to you! Have a good day!:)
 
Morning Ladies .. and Happy Valentine's Day!
(phase 2 - week 7 - day 3 - my version classic)

My abs and arms are sore from my core torture class .. LOL

.. since I skipped yesterday today going to do a light run at lunch and ARX .. then tonight doing tricep and chest (yesterday's workout) ..

We had HORRIBLE storms down here .. had tornado warnings off and on all day .. torrential rains, high winds, hail, and BAD lightning. My poor dogs were scared to death last night .. DH even felt sorry for the outside dog and brought her in . . LOL!

Today is cold - ummm .. nothing like ya'll that have ice and snow .. but cold for us down here .. in the 30's and tonight in the low 20's .. brrrrr!!! I don't see how you all do the ice and snow .. bbbbrrrrr .. saw the footage on the news ... you gals stay in and stay warm!!!:7

Ok .. better run .. today should be fun in the office .. sure the flower trucks will be out in full force .. sure there will be lots of ooooohhhhhs and aaahhhhhhhs today!!

Good Morning - last night i did the back and biceps and arx....probably my least favorite of the weight workouts, but I lived through it....I did increase my weight in most areas and also my reps - - its great!

I can definitely tell I am gaining strength in my upper body and my shoulders look more defined, but my lower body has something to be desired yet ;) (is that the right saying) anyways....I might start tacking on more leg work somewhere in the rotation. I think its the floor work that really helps lean my outer thighs and inner thigh area and under butt cheek - so I might just tack on that 11 mins from L&G or also Cathe's floorwork on B&G :)

I think tonight is Yoga - will sub in with Brian Kest Power Yoga Sweat III :)
 
good morning!

i missed checking in yesterday!

i woke up yesterday and my back still was stiff and aching... so instead of the scheduled back and biceps... i did a spinerval... throughout the day my back felt better... so when i got dismissed from jury duty i got home and did back and biceps... i wasn't going to to ARX... but felt fine so i did it!

today my upper back is sore (DOMS) my mid back is fine.... and both my bi's and tri's have a tad bit of soreness!!!

this morning was yogaX... nothing new to report there....

my mom sent me some pics she took of the storm (she's in upstate NY).... it's pretty but looks SO COLD! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I just finished B&B/ARX.

I lowered my weights on most of the bicep exercises this time in order to last longer. The last/first time I did this work out last week I couldn't even pull 10,8,5 and 3 pound weights by the time it came to the strip set curls x( so I figured I was pushing too hard the rest of the time. I brought my weights down by 1 increment in most of the exercises and ended up making it through to the end in much better shape! Ofcourse, now I think I will actually need to UP the strip set by one increment as the 5 and 3's were waaaay too easy this time! LOL

ARX was...well, ARX! I skipped heels to the heavens and leg climbs cause I just didn't feel like doin' them today!:p I still felt the burn though...how can you not with that one!!?? }( }( }(

I am hoping this ice clears out of here so that I can get to the gym in the morning for a class. We'll see what happens....
 
I have a bit o' time for personals finally...I hope ya'll come back and read them so they don't go to waste! LOL :p

Marcia, So what's the verdict on the yoga? Were you able to squeeze any in tonight? Even doing part of it is better then nothing! :)

Laura, Sounds like you had your share of nasty weather too. I hate thunder and lightening! I'd probably be quivering under the bed with your dogs! I'll take a snow storm any day! LOL

Sunny, So what exactly was entailed in your "valentine's day festivities"? ;) }( :)

Reba, I'm with you on B&B. It's not my fave either. I also began adding in one Cathe lower body work out per week in phase 2. I'm sure it will help!

DB, The folks in upstate NY got hit pretty hard from what I hear! I hope your mom is staying safe and warm! Glad your back is feeling better.

Yeah...I'm here. I need to get a life. I have a laptop on the arm of "my" chair in the family room. So I watch television and browse. I would lose my mind just watching tv especially because my DH is constantly "browsing" the channels, lol.

I did Kenpo when I got home from work. I think I did the best yet. I may try to hold 1 lb weights the next time I do it.

I still have to watch what I'm eating a little better and I'm really looking forward to getting that Clean Eating book.

So my commute home was much better than the commute to work. The streets were mostly cleaned up. I'm glad we didn't get too much snow. It looked like 3 - 5 inches to me, but I don't know. DH shoveled - there are some jobs I refuse to do. (He never cooks, I never shovel. I'll sometimes cut the grass though. I get pleasure in the straight lines after a cut much like the straight lines after a good vacuuming. I'm a vacuuming freak.)

Okay, Wendy and all - I hope someone gets to read this one too!!:)

I'm here, I'm here.....just late as usual.

B&B with ARX today. I actually like this one. For some reason, I like doing biceps. I'm up to 15# on most of them now. I tried doing the last sets starting with 20, but I was too fried and started with the 15's instead.

I saw a friend of mine today who I haven't seen in a while and she made me take my coat off and do a turn around so she could see my new bod. LOL I sooooo love it when people notice that I'm losing. It makes all this torture worth it.

Only 2.5 weeks left until the 90 days is up. Still not sure where I'm going from here. hmmmmmmm - except for starters, I MUST do one of the new Cathe's. Since I started this thing in December, they still seem new to me anyways.....

Happy Valentines Day all. Hope you all got goodies from your honey's. Mine did the roses but didn't go there with the candy - what a good hubby;)

Yoga on tap for tomorrow - already???? Didn't I just do that one???? LOL

Just a quick "HI" before heading off to bed. I didn't get a chance to do YogaX, it was just too long for me to fit it in with Valentine's Day and all. BUT, I've decided to get my workouts done in the morning from now on except my step class that I teach in the evenings. I have too much going on that get's in the way.

Soooooo, that means up and at em' at 4:45am tomorrow.}( }( I have Legs and Back. I also have step class tomorrow night so hopefully I won't be too burned out from the morning workout.

I'm going to have DH take my measurements tomorrow night and a picture x( x( so I have something to gage my progress.:eek:

Have a great night everyone - hopefully I will find time to sneak on quick after my workout and before heading off to work, but it not I'll get here sometime.
