P90X January Starters, Tuesday!!!!

CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 8/DAY 2 of Recovery

Today it'll be a short run and core syn for me. I have to work this morning so I'll be running after my shift is over and then doing core syn at nap time.

{Phase 3 - week 9 - day 2 - my version classic)

Well I can not beleive I am not as sore as expected from the push up torture tape .. a little doms in my chest but not as bad as phase 1 with it!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYA ..

.. as for my allergic skin .. I was in misery last night .. forgot to get any benadryl .. I tossed and turned and itched all night .. I felt feverish too . . I was beginning to wonder about chicken pox or measles .. after reading what Angie said I may need to go to the Dr. .. I have never had any of the childhood diseases .. my brother had them all .. but I never did.... yikes I hope that is not it!

I am a bit better right now .. put some hydrocortisone on and it eases it a bit .. a trip to the allergist may be in order .. I never had allergies until I hit 35 .. then WHAM!!

Anyway .. plyo is on tap for today .. not sure if I will make the lunch workout .. may have to postpone it till class tonight (I teach a plyo/cardio class) .. no it won't be the X but in some sense it is even harder .. I sweat more .. ??

Can't wait to hear from my SIL to see how sore she is .. bet she is cussing me ..b/c by mid afternoon she was already getting sore .. LOL}(

I am in a better mood today .. thank goodness .. but can feel the PMS monster sneaking up on me.. patience wears thin quickly! LOL .. thank all you gals for the encouragment yesterday .. you really helped me .. and motivated me to get that dang workout done!! THANK YOU!!!!:7

can't beleive I am in the FINAL phase!! WOW .. I would have never thought this would pass so quickly!! I too am looking ahead at what I am going to do after X ... my routine has always been forever changing .. and this is the first time I have followed a rotation .. and it has really worked well .. so I am thinking ahead to what is to come .. and I think I will always keep the notion of the recovery week ..

Good Morning Ladies,

I ended up doing step blast yesterday instead of the pushup/pullup torture! However, I will be doing that one at the rec center today. I really like using the assisted machine. I did plyo X this morning. Oh, I missed my weigh in yesterday but I think I'm still on track:)

Wendy-You are so full of energy, feel free to send some my way. I think I'm going through a midlife crisis or something. I never want to do anything anymore and little things seem to bother me more than they should.

Laura- I can't believe it's phase 3 already either. Have you decided what to do next? I'm thinking of doing an endurance rotation for a month and then another P90X rotation-Can't believe I just said that.

Everyone else must be busy getting their workout in:p

I too was leaning on endurace rotation too (probably 2 months) - alternate between cardio day / muscle day .. on the cardio days days get a run in at lunch then teach a cardio class (or do step video) OR do a long run on the days I don't have class .. then on the muscle day work upper body 2 times a week and lower 2 times a week and also have 2 power yoga days in there too .. I think I can work that out .. that way I am doing cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance b/c I don't want to loose what I have worked so hard for ..

THEN ... dare I say ... will start the P90x over again

Hey, I'm back.

I did a 20 min Itread work out that was basically hill runs and sprints and I just finished Core Syn a few minutes ago...

I am actually thinking of doing an endurance rotation after X as well for a month and then alternating different phases from different rotations of the X with a variety of other rotations for a while and see what that does. I want to really "mix it up" for a while! I too will continue to take a recovery week similar to the X every 3-6 weeks.:)

Laura, Gosh, I hope you don't have chicken pox or measles! Get it checked out pronto! Those can be really bad when adults get them!:eek:

Diana, Trust me, I am not always filled with energy or motivation. I struggle too. I just know that I will feel soooo much better once the work out is over. If I never do it I will feel lousy so I usually just push myself to get it done. Exercise is as much for my mental health as it is for my physical health these days. If I take too many days off I get really down.

Looks like maybe some of us gave up on finishing the whole rotation, or just maybe gave up on posting.

Plyo is over! It didn't seem that bad today. Last week I thought I was gonna need the bucketx( Maybe I'm just pumped because I know it's the last time I'll have to do it for a while.:) Although, I do think this workout has a little something to do with the definition I have gained in my legs.

Laura - go to the doctor!:D Nurses orders!!;-)

I'm glad you all are thinking about what you will do next. Me too. Does everyone else think they've lost cardio indurance with the X? Maybe it's just me because I didn't add in any other workouts. My plate was full enough with just the X.:p

Okay, back! I inhaled that dinner. What else is new? I had a very bad day of eating. I started with a beautiful oatmeal with flaxseed, protein powder and blueberries and then......someone informed me that there were bagels (big, beautiful bagels from my favorite bagel shop) in the teachers lounge. (Someone is always celebrating something, unfortunately!!) Well, I resisted at first and then BAM I went to town. By the end of the day I had polished off two HUGE bagels loaded with full-fat cream cheese. Once I start I have a hard time finishing. Dinner was a delicious escarole soup though so at least that wasn't too bad. I did eat three bowl though.

I have a confession...once I start posting I forget what I just read from the other posters. So I have to keep going back and forth--

Wendy - I agree, you are so full of energy. Up so early, run off to work, two workouts, all with a small child. I hope DH appreciates you to no end. Thanks for the positive energy you bring here.

Laura - I hope you're feeling better. I hope the sweat of working out doesn't make that rash worse. And I love giving people DOMS too!! I can't believe that time is marching on also. One more phase to go. I don't know what I'm doing next. Maybe have my jaw zipped up so I can't eat so much, lol.

Diana - I wish I were still on track with the eating. I'm a lifetimer at WW and thank God I only have to weigh in once a month. I can wait until the end of March now and I better!!!! I probably should force myself to go once a week - it might help. (I should probably go to some meetings too but I feel funny sometimes. I'm in DECENT shape and I feel bad sitting there with very heavy women I know are looking at me thinking...what the F? (at least that's what I hope they're thinking, lol)

Angie - I know what you mean when you say that you think you lost endurance with the X. I sometimes wonder if that's what I like about it so much. I'm really not one to do continuous cardio and the X seemed like more my style. My daughter, who also exercises, said the X is EASY compared to Cathe and I haven't been able to convert her. She has done a few here and there but she thinks it doesn't compare.

Well, now that I yapped and yapped and this is definitely the longest post I have ever created there's a good chance that no one will read it because it's so late. Maybe I'll cut and paste this into tomorrow's post to make sure, lol.

I think I am going to include the X cardio in my post X rotation since I really am not doing much of it during the ACTUAL rotation! LOL...I know...I'm wierd....Get used to it!:p :7 :p :7

I haven't done Cardio X at all, Wendy. I don't remember seeing it in the Classic rotation and now I'm hoping I'm not missing it (on purpose, lol). I should give it a try. I guess you like it though if you plan on keeping it around.

Does anyone watch American Idol? I'm watching it this season for some reason and it's on now. I know, I know. I need a life.x(
