P90X January Starters, Tuesday!

CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 6/DAY 2

Good Morning Xers!:)

I was going to do only Cathe leg work today as I had vowed to do only 2 days of cardio in phase 2 and they were going to be on a floating day and saturday....WELL, after eating so terribly this weekend AND last night for dinner I NEED TO HAVE SOME EXTRA CARDIO so I am going to incorporate the 2 together today and do some kind of lower body circuit. This plan is just for this week though to battle the effects of my awful diet the past few days. I got on the scale this morning and it went up UP UP!:eek:

I have a tiny bit o' DOMS from y'day's work out. I am prepared for the possibility that it will get worse as the day goes on though. }( LOL

DOUBLES/PHASE 1/WEEK 1/DAY 3

Good morning!

Today is Shoulder & Arms, Ab Ripper X. I'm excited to get this one going tonight. I couldn't workout yesterday (too much going on), so I'm ready to "Bring It" :p tonight.

I'm really excited about the system, I love it so far. Tonight I'm starting to write down what weights and how many reps. Hopefully I will get DH to take pics and measurements tonight, too. :eek:

Morning Ladies!

(Phase 2 - week 7 - day 2- my version of Classic)

I have a tweak in my good knee today .. ??? not sure what that is about .. could be the approaching bad weather .. we are due for some major storms today!!

and BTW ... any of you north and north east of me .. STAY IN .. looks like ya'll are in for some major ice and snow !!! YIKES!!

last night's class was packed .. guess the "I want to fit into a swimsuit" crowd is in!! LOL

Today is tricep/chest ... yes the tricep/push up torture tape!! LOL but know it is doing good so won't complain!! (much)

tonight's class is what my class named "core torture" .. (similar to Core synergy kinda) .. this may run off some of the newbies .. LOL!}(

Wendy I am sure your diet was not NEAR as bad as mine .. I have been a very bad girl!!x( but getting on track again today!

Marcia .. glad you are joining us and having a good go of it .. I am one that never did weights like this .. and I have been pleasantly surprised that I like the program as much as I do!! Keep going strong!!

Hello all -

I did CB&T last night and I had major DOMS this morning.:D I was going to go in to work today and get some things caught up, but went back to bed after I got the kids off to school.:eek: I hardly ever do that, but I really think I needed it. I wasn't able to play catch up on my sleep this weekend and I think it really caught up to me. I didn't wake up again until 10:30 when the phone rang - :7 I do feel better now - I typically get a headache when I go back to bed like that but not today, so I must have really needed the extra sleep.

Now that I'm all rested, I've got a messy house to clean but I just don't feel like it. You'd think I would have all kinds of energy, which I do, but I just don't feel like cleaning....

Hopefully plyo won't be so bad today now.....

OK - I gotta go clean

i upped my weights yesterday and am really feeling it in my shoulders and tri's}(

wendy- how about DM leg blast! haven't done it but have "heard" it's a real goodie.

marcia- i can feel your excitement. ain't it great!!

poochy- you are so funny. i work in a gym but don't like to workout there too much, for those very same reasons.

angie- you will do fine with plyoX.

today is supposed to be yoga but i am doing a interval run using CC #6.

Hi Ladies,

I did CST and ARX this morning. I still prefer shoulders and arms to this workout but I did it anyway. I hope to make it to the gym at lunch for some cardio.

Wendy & Laura-I'm sure eating isn't as bad as you make it sound. Even if it is, simply start eating clean right now and you will notice how much better you will feel! Laura-I totally agree with you about the tricep/pushup torture. Even after all the pushups in this rotation, I don't like them any better.

Marcia-My hat's off to you, jumping right in with the doubles rotation. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Angie-isn't it nice to catch up on our sleep. I really like plyo x for some reason and I hope you will to eventually.

SunnyD-great job upping the weights. I've been doing that a little to lately. I'm using 20's for biceps and 15's for some of the tricep work.

WELL .. my plans got smashed .. of course on MY lunch hour the dang bottom fell out of every dark cloud around here ..

I look like a freaking drowned rat .. my stupid umbrella did not work right .. 1/2 of it was falling down allowing the torential downpour to pour straight down my back .. the wind was blowing so bad it was useless anyway .. my entire wardrobe is soaking wet!!

I skipped the workout at lunch b/c of the storms .. and like an idiot decided it would be better to run to the grocery store to get lunch and some Valentine stuff .. YEAH RIGHT!! Wrong decision on my part ..

so now I am drying off and my hair looks like a bad 80's video .. pitiful!x( x( x(

going to catch my breath and make up some time this afternoon I suppose!!

no workout .. but hey .. at least I ate clean!! LOL

Tonight is the one that follows plyometrics in the second phase - I don't even know which one that is - its at the tip of my tongue but I completely spaced....

Tonight I get my hair done right after work - total bummer because she is so good at styling it but whats the point if I am just goint to workout afterwards anyways - - I think I might add a few more longer layers - hmmmm

Hey Everybody -

Sounds like everyone is doing great! I decided I better start posting earlier in the day. If I wait until the end of my workout everbody's settled down for the evening.

I don't even know what's on tap for day. I think Chest, Shoulders, Triceps? Is that after Yoga in week 6? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I have a dentist appt right after work and I won't get home till 6 probably. I'll start dinner and then get to it. I'm tired thinking about it.

They're predicting a snowstorm to start here any minute. We've had previous "dustings" this winter but this will be the first real one. We're along the coast here in NYC and they say it will change to rain by morning. I've decided I'm tired of winters, even as mild as ours started out this year.
 
hey ladies,

i scrapped my run today and did DM cardio leg blast!! my first time doing that one and boy what a workout!! my only problem is i have p90x legs and back tomorrow. i don't think it should be a problem since neither workouts use heavy weights. i guess i will just play it by ear and see how my legs feel tomorrow}( :D

nancy- 15lbs for triceps..you are one strong lady!
 
Hey Ladies!

I just finished my work out. I went for the DrillMax Cardio/Leg Blast Premix and then went back and did all of the leg work again! PHEW! I tweeked the work out a bit to disclude most of the included upper body work. Great work out! I have DOMS in my U/B from CS&T y'day and may very well have L/B doms tmrw! YEAY! }( :7 }(

Sunny, You and I must thinking with the same brain today! LOL I was considering the DM premix before I read your post even! :)

Okay, no personals right now but I'll try to get back later for them though!

Hey gang:

I just finished Shoulders and Arms with Ab Ripper X to finish me off :7 AND BOY DID IT EVER! Whew.....my arms are toast, but feel oh so good..........!! I'm lovin' these workouts so far. I'm addicted to writing it down and challenging myself to do better on the second round - it's a great motivator for me, that's for sure. I never realized until now that I've really been missing a lot by not writing things down all the time.

I'm making porkchops, rice, veggie and lots of water for supper.:9 :9 I'm starving now!
