Good Morning Xers!

CLASSIC/PHASE 1/WEEK 4/DAY 2 (Recovery)

It's core syn. for me and after everyone talked about how hard the work out is, I'm scared!:eek: I'll get through it though....some how! LOL

Angie: The first 45 minutes of yoga x are my favorite part! LOL It's tough work so it feels like a work out to me which I like. I work up a pretty good sweat too! }( The balancing stuff is frustrating for me and the rest is just alot of stretching type stuff which I get bored with quickly...except for the yoga belly 7 part!}(

Well, I am short on time as I have to work this morning and have already pushed my time to the limit! :eek: I have a busy afternoon/evening ahead of me so I may not get back here until much later tonight if at all.

Morning Ladies! (Phase 2 - week four day 2 - my version)

Well today is my tricep and shoulder day .. I hope I like it .. my sister in law is joining me .. mid-stream .. she said she can not believe my upper body improvement and wants to join in .. but the way we both work .. it is going to be hit and miss w/her for a while ..

she joined me yesterday on my leg workout and she is so sore she can't straighten up .. yes she had some choice words for me this morning!!}(

Nancy .. did I read you say you almost like downward dog??? :eek: OMG .. I am SO PROUD of you!! YAYAYAYAYAYAAYA~!

Seems a lot of you are beginning to like the yoga .. YAYAYA .. I knew you would!! it is a tough workout and you do sweat and afterwards I think I feel better from that workout than any that I do!

Wendy .. let us know how you like Core Synergy .. I LOVE that workout .. yes it is hard .. but it will hit muscles you never knew you had .. !!

good morning....

back and biceps this morning for us...

i like the 2 upper body workouts from phase one better than phase 2.... or maybe i just need to do them once and i might like them better next week? i can't remember my reaction from last time????

my forearms were really burning by the end of this workout.... and i hate corncob pull ups...

let's not talk about food last night (but suffice it to say... my boss was in hawaii for a conference last week and brought back a small... thank goodness.... box of dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts for each of us.... uhm.....

Hi Everyone,

I've been sick and haven't worked out since Saturday:( Saturday I did the Gauntlet. Oh, and coremax 3. I was really missing the weight work during the recovery week and needed to get some cardio in too.

I'm feeling better today soI started phase 2 this morning with Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I liked it okay, not as much as the workout in phase 1 though. I also did coremax 2.

I also re-joined weight watchers yesterday so hopefully I can take off some of this extra weight. Gayle-are you still following the WW plan? Do you use core or flex?

Gotta run.

OK .. I just did the tricep - shoulder push up torture DVD ..

have I mentioned I HATE pushups!!!x(

My arms are shaking .. the shoulder cap and delt especially ... can tell I have laid off the weights and push ups this past week ... feel like I am on day one again ...

and no I don't like this one as much as the shoulder/arm one in phase 1 ..but maybe it will grow on me once I do it again ..

have a feeling that I will have some major doms in store for me!! LOL

I finished Core Syn. a little while ago....All I can say is...:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: !!!! That work out kicked my @ss all over the place! OMG! I am a little under the weather right now so I'll have to see if there's a difference if I feel better when I do it again on Friday but WOW!!!!!}( }( }(

Laura: So how did your SIL like the work out today? Is she going to come back again? }(

DB: If you have any troubles keeping your mitts off those chocolate covered nuts, you can certainly pass on over my way. I'll gladly take 'em off your hands for you! }( :9 ;) ...And I don't even want to know what a corncob pull up is!:eek: :eek: :eek:

}( }( }( LOL ... oh she is cussing me big time .. she went back to work and e-mailed me .. "I can't feel my arms" ...

wondering if she will make it to class tonight .. LOL ..

now I have to say she WILL hang in there .. she is a little bitty thing .. but strong as an ox .. and even more stubborn .. she does not know the meaning of "I Can't" .. so I will say she is going to try to hang w/the program for a while .. just out of pure will of mind to do it .. :D .. she does NOT like weights .. she is more of a cardio lover .. but she likes the results that the weights give her .. so she MAKES herself do them ... so I think she will at least give it a try ...

Although I am sure I will have many harsh words thrown at me when the major doms set in .. LOL
 
Yes, can you believe that I LIKE (not love, mind you) downward dog? It does feel really good to stretch like that.

Today is my last day of recovery week - x stretch. Phase 2 tomorrow. Like I've said before, I love following a rotation and feel that it keeps me in line. I feel too guilty to skip. We're going to have to plan a post P90X. I know some are floating around the forum but I don't have EVERY Cathe workout like some do. I plan to do the X over again, maybe the lean rotation next time.

Okay, off to cook, do laundry, clean, stretch - not necessarily in that order.

I will definitely be ready for my Cathe workouts when this rotation is over.

No, No, No!!! My plan was doing something else first but I like the idea of a rotation now. (It's been keeping me honest). I'll start P90X lean maybe a month after I'm done with the first rotation.

Actually, I was just checking out FitnessFreak's January rotation. I have the GS, HS, and PUB, PLB. I may have to substitute for some of the cardio that I don't have but I think it can be done easily. Looks like a good rotation. Mostly weights and some cardio much like the X. I think I'll give that one a whirl. The X is my first rotation of any kind and it feels good to know EXACTLY you're doing. Before now, I just made sure I didn't hit the same muscles two days in a row but sometimes it took be longer to figure out which workout to do than the actual workout time, lol.

Okay, Phase 2 tomorrow.

I forgot how hard Core Syn was. Before I did it today, I was actually looking forward to it:D I guess it's like the labor pains fade after that first child and you talk yourself into the second one thinking it wasn't that bad....until the labor pains start all over again and you're kicking yourself}( Well, kinda somethin like that. LOL

I liked the arm workouts in phase one better than phase two as well. I'm not sure why, because it feels like it's been a long time since phase one. Well, it has been a month. I'm looking forward to next week and starting phase 3 - if I can get thru recovery week:7

Oh, how I miss Cathe too!! I wish I had enough ambition and time to do the X and Cathe at the same time, but I don't. The new Cathe's will really seem new after taking 3 whole months away from Cathe.
