P90X January Starters, Tuesday

Classic Rotation/Phase 1/Week 3/Day 2

Hey everyone...Good Morning. :)

Today is cardio for me so I will most likely be on the TM after work for a 3 mile run. I think I mentioned the MIC idea I had....well, I quickly dis-counted that as a BAD idea!:p :7

I am feeling the DOMS creeping into my back and arms from y'day's work out. }(

I ate badly last night...After dinner I had some popcorn (unhealthy style) and a piece of left over cake from saturday. ACK!x( I didn't need that but I was having a weak moment when DH started eating...If it weren't for him wanting this cr@p in the house my eating would be soooo much better cause if it's not there I can't eat it, right? RIGHT! I think I need a divorce...or how about just a 3 month separation?! LOL ;)

LOL! Yes, Wendy. A 3 month separation sounds like a plan. That's what I need. Everybody (!) to leave for three months. The only food around would be egg-whites and veggies.

Okay, so after all of the hoopla over which Yoga dvds to buy I decide on Baptiste's Power Yoga, level 1, 2 and 3, and place my order from Amazon. What I didn't realize was that it was from all different vendors so the shipping wound up being more than the actual dvds. (Way more!!!) I have an aversion to shipping charges so I wound up not purchasing anything.

I start my recovery week today (Phase1, Week 4) and, of course, it starts with Yoga. I think I'm going to try Tony again....and just do what I can and for how long I can. Or, maybe I'll do Stretch X again as this is about as Yoga-ish as I want to get anyway, lol.

Good Morning :)

Wendy - don't feel bad about the unhealthy eating - nobody is perfect!!! :)

Last night I didn't even get my workout in :( I came home and did the housework and was going to sit down for just fifteen minutes - and once I sat down, my eyelids closed and asleep I went. Husband said I was a zombie and so I went to bed......this whole painting project over the weekend just wore me out apparently!

So tonight I am starting my workouts after a FOUR DAY break - not good, but what can one do....

oh my! after saying how i was back on track for eating good.... i really blew it last night! my healthy desert tasted bad.... so i stopped eating it... but still wanted desert.... it was downhill from there! (and it's hard to find "decent" junky desserts in my house cuz i just don't buy it! but golean bars that i buy for on the bike serve as a good sweet treat in a pinch!) UGH!

anyways... today was kenpoX for me... i laugh when tony talks about getting in the zone or one time he even mentions 162 for his HR.... uhm... HOW, tony? with that workout??? i mean it's fun and all.. but it is NOT a high intensity cardio workout?????

today... i'll say again... i'm back on my good eating (can't help but eat good at work... that's all i bring with me is healthy stuff!) i'm hoping to do a spinerval aferwork... just a short one, though cuz i have lots of things to do!

Hi Everyone,

This morning was core synergistics for me. I am really missing cardio and will be adding that in this week. I'm thinking of doing KPC tomorrow in place of Kenpo.

Wendy and db-don't feel too bad about your less than stellar eating. We have downfalls now and again. Just put it behind you and move on to clean eating with your next meal.

Keep up the good work all.

Good Afternoon everyone.

I got 3 miles in after work on the TM. I'm happy. :) It's nice b/c I then have the afternoon to myself for playing on the pc, a nap...oh and that pesky thing called housework too. LOL :p

I am definately sore from chest and back y'day! My lats are talkin' to me something fierce! }(

Nancy, Sorry your yoga dvd purchasing plans fell through. Go to Target or TJ Maxx or something...they usually yoga dvds for pretty cheap there I think.

Reba, Sorry you've had such bad luck getting in your work outs. You've been workin' hard though so don't beat yourself up too bad. Just pick up where you left off! :)

DB, Kenpo is not a heartrate work out, I agree. It is, however a great work out in it's own right. Works the muscles good!}( I have only done it once and actually want to do it again. Maybe I'll have to give up my Tuesday run next week and do kenpo instead. :)

Diana, I have only done the first 20 mins of Core Syn so far and that was only to see what it was about before I began the rotation. I will have to do it twice next week so I hope I like it!!!
 
Hi all -

Just a quick post before making dinner so maybe I won't be the last poster today;-) Did we lose some people over the last week???

Did plyo today and I think I'm dreading that workout more and more. LOL I am always about 20 or 30 beats above Tony's when he announces his. Oh well, I'm sticking with it and I'm glad there's not ARX afterwards.:)

Back and Biceps tomorrow - yea!! I like that one.

Off to cook dinner.......

ok..... i was a good gurl and just finished a spinerval.... i don't know why i hate them so much????????? i guess cuz i prefer to be outside??? i dunno!

I am up for shoulders and arms tmrw...LOVE that work out!:)

I am supposed to be stretching right now but I'm not in the mood. I am going to have to force myself cause I need it...UGH. LOL

I couldn't bring myself to do Yoga X even though I promised myself I'd try again. I came home with a bit of a stomach ache (excuses, excuses) Well anyway, I did Tari Rose's Hard Body Yoga for about half an hour. Not too bad, I guess. It sure beats doing nothing which is really what I was considering. Down dogs....starting to enjoy them a little more.

I know what you mean about stretching. It's hard to get started but once you're done, you feel great! I have to force myself too with Stretch X.

Tomorrow, Core Syn. for me. I haven't even previewed this workout but from what I read, it's a doozy (sp?).
