P90X January Starters, Thursday!!!

CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 6/DAY 4

I am due to go to a class at the gym this morning (kbox or spin) but I fear my car is iced into it's spot on the street. x( I am going to try to get out but will not go crazy. If I can't do it then I can always catch the kbox class early tmrw evening. I'll see what happens...

Tonight calls for yoga. My legs still hurt as of now. If they are not better by tonight I'll be doing StretchX instead!:p

Hey Wendy and gang:

I skipped Legs and Back this morning, due to just not enough time like I like to have when working out. I never get a good workout in if I'm rushed and know that time is limited.

I do have step class tonight so I will work them hard. }( Legs and Back tomorrow.

I'm checking out the Nutrition Plan of P90X, I'm hoping to use that as a guide so I can get this nasty weight off once and for all. x( x( x(

Wendy - good luck getting out and about today. But I know you'll workout like crazy whether you get out or not.}( You should change your name to crazyworkoutqueen.:) I am so jealous of your dedication....

Marcia - If you find that you don't like that diet, check out sparkpeople.com - if you have high speed internet. They have a great site that's free and includes a nutrition tracker. It takes a while to set everything up but after you get your favorite foods entered, it's a snap to enter your food for the day. I have been following an 1800 cal plan while doing the X and am very happy with my results. And, if you're getting up that early to exercise - you might be just as crazy as Wendy:eek: LOL!

Today's my day off and I have Yoga to do. Qualifying for the Daytona 500 is this afternoon at 2, so I have to be done by then. How's that for motivation?

I have DOMS in my biceps today. I rarely get DOMS there, so I'm pretty happy about it. The only thing I don't like about arm workouts is that when I sleep on my side at night I get terrible arm pains throughout the night. I'm sure I'm just cutting off circulation to the shoulders and upper arms when they are trying to recover which must be what's causing the pain. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this??

Good morning everybody -

Wendy - I wish my car were covered in some ice. I love the feeling of being stuck in the house when you just CAN'T get out. Oh, cookies in the oven, good movie playing,.....you get the picture. I always feel the need to get out everyday otherwise. Nervous energy???

Marcia - I just ordered the book Clean Eating because I need some help too. Traci said she loves it and did very well following that program. I'll let you know what I think. I should have it in a couple of days.

Angie - I had DOMS in my biceps too this week which is also rare for me. I sleep on my sides also but don't experience any pain.

Morning Ladies -
(Phase 2 - Week 7 - day 5 - my version classic)

SIL did ARX w/me yesterday .. she was dying .. can't wait to hear from her .. LOL }(

Today is Biceps and back .. I LOVE this workout .. will be in a traning class this morning ... and my lunch will be all screwed up x( .. but still hope they let me skip the "lunch" and go do my thing like I want to !!!

Not sure what I am going to do tonight .. usually it is yoga .. but it is so freaking cold here ... and no heat in the gym fitness room .. so ???? .. looks like it may be cardio or heavy sculpting class tonight!!

DH cooked for me last night ..OMG .. it was ssooooooo good .. not "that" fattening .. grilled pork tenderloin - butter beans and lentils .. mmm mmm mmm .. it was so good! and yes I was VERY good to him .. }( }( }( }( so burned some extra calories the fun way last night .. LOL!!

Ok .. off to the boring training class ..
 
Morning ladies :)

I love grilled pork tenderloin - unfortunately the weather here is not permitting much for outdoors...

Last night was a wrench in my workouts - - i came home and fixed dinner for hubby and I and planned on us watching our tv show for an hour and then I would do my workout, well he suprised me with a movie rental, card, candy and six pack of micro-beer (we were going to celebrate Valentines Day this weekend instead) so anyways, I didn't get my workout in last night and have to admit I was QUITE annoyed, but I wasn't about to complain or say anything to hubby when he obviously thought he was doing something romantic...

OK so now I have anxiety about not getting my workout done - that drives me nuts! So tonight I am doing the yoga and will go from there....sighhhh I wish I could me more easy going about a missed workout but I am not at all!
 
Well the class didn't happen this morning. I was iced in and NOT happy about it!:-(

I have no idea what I will do today at this point but I gotta do SOMETHING or I'll feel guilty as I just took a 2 hour nap!:eek:

I have FINALLY decided what work out I will do today...better late then never, right? LOL ;)

I'm going to do the first 30 mins of Cardio X and then about 30 mins of Stretch X-picking and choosing the stretches I want to do.

I am putting yoga on hold until the legs thaw out a bit more...

Wendy, I finally picked my workout tonight too - Rest X. Too much going on here after work today and we didn't even eat dinner yet at 8. It's cooked though so I'm about to do that now.

I may just skip today and do the stretch tomorrow. I don't want to give that up and that seems like a good workout to do on a Friday evening anyway - it's when I'm most tired too, at the end of the week.

Hey.

Ended up doing all of CardioX. Didn't realize how short it is! Then I did the first segment of StretchMax instead of X Stretch. Felt great. I picked the perfect work out for me today. Aaaaaaaah! :)

I PROMISE I will make up the yoga at some point!:p

Nancy-Have a great dinner and if rest is what you need then rest is what you should do! I rested all day long so I had no excuse but to work out tonight! LOL :7
