Morning Xers!:+

CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 5/DAY 5

I'm still behind schedule but will have everything back on track before the weekend is over. Today is a step class at the gym and then long and lean yoga at nap time. :)

I can feel the tension in my biceps from y'day's work out when I straighten my arms out. Surprisingly after all of the burning in my forearms, they don't hurt!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

BBL!

Good morning!!

Okay, no workout for me yesterday. I arrived home about 9 pm and watched Grey's Anatomy and had to do some things around the house as I'd been out since 7 am. So, do I skip Plyo and move on? Try to do two workouts tonight? Push everything back a day? Truthfully, I can't see myself doing two workouts, ever. (I don't know where you girls get your stamina)

Plus...I ate really badly at the shower I went to. I LOVE cheese and never indulge. So when it's offered.....I lose it!!!! They had this beautiful antipasto tray with so many assorted cheeses...you know, had to taste them all, decide which you loved the most, and then GO FOR IT. I'll make up for it this weekend........

Okay, have a good day!!!! Thank goodness for this check-in. It's like my confessional! Seriously, I think it keeps me going.

Thanks everybody!!!

Nancy

Morning Ladies .. and TGIF!!!!!!:7 :7 :7
(Phase 2 - week 6 - day 5 - my version classic)

.. my arms are not as sore this week as they were last week {yet} .. but can feel them when I straighten my arms out ..

and yes .. I do feel the work in my forearms .. IA .. can tell a lot of definition in my forearms popping up ..

I taught a 60 min. yoga class and my hamstrings are a bit sore .. kinda surprised me!!

Nancy .. another thing we have in common .. CHEESE .. OMG .. that is one of my strongest weaknesses!! x( .... I LOVE white cheddar .. and hot pepper cheese .. yyyyyyyuuuummmmmmmmmmyyyyy!!!! and yes .. I splurge at least once a week on cheese (I know it is bad .. but it is so good)

today is supposed to be my rest day ... but this week has been so not in order (even for me) .. I am going to do a short light walk on the treadmill then ARX .. my SIL has not done ARX .. LOL .. so she is excited .. oh and yes ... she is cussing me .. her biceps hurt to touch them .. said she could barely pick the soap up this morning .. LOL :)

Ok .. big party weekend for me .. so no hopes that the diet will be in tact .. but will fit in a run and yoga .. and hopefull either kenpo or plyo this weekend ..

have a great day .. and a wonderful weekend .. and great workouts ..and those of you who are dedicated and eating clean .. God bless you .. I wish I had your dedication! LOL:D

last night I subbed out KenpoX for Core Synergistics.....not sure if you all remember but I was sick for five days during my scheduled rest week, so i just skipped that week and moved straight into phase two, so I never go to do that workout.

I LOVED IT! It was a great core workout and my heart rate was higher throughout that workout then KenpoX - - my back is actually sore today from doing that one - I really enjoyed it and the time flew by!

I did a ton of cleaning on top of that last night to get ready for the visitors coming this weekend, so today is my rest day and I will get my workouts in this weekend. Its my mom and sister coming up for my sister's dance competition so they will be in and out all weekend and I will go down and watch her when she performs but I won't sit there all day long watching the other people compete - sooooo boring to me!!!! So i will be able to squeeze it in pretty easily..

OMG - I am trying to post here and my coworker is chatting her dang head off - - I cannot stand that!!! Hello can't she see I am busy ;)

reba- lol:7

hello ladies,

today's workout is kenpo but i am subbing it for KPC. it's funny how we sub so many of the workouts...oh well.

my hamstrings are a little sore from yesterday's legs however i never feel too much after doing back. does anyone else get DOMS from the back workouts?

have a great friday everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I've spent the last 40 minutes searching online for the p90x worksheets. I want to do back & biceps at the rec center today. I even went down to the basement and brought my sheet upstairs and must've left it sitting on the kitchen table. No that I am armed with my worksheet I will be heading out.

The only time I really feel it in my back is when I use the assisted machine at the rec ctr for all the pullups. At home, I only have the dynaband, not the real bands with much more tension.

For some reason today I am starving and cannot keep eating. I definitely need to get outta here and go workout.

Happy Friday Ladies,

Diana

Hello all

So glad this busy week is finally coming to an end! I never got a day off this week and it makes me cranky}( But I only went in for about a half hour today. I hadn't planned on going in at all, but of coarse something came up. Tomorrow we have to go downstate to pick up our 5th wheel.:) We got a really good deal on it because we ordered it in the winter - I can't wait to go camping but we'd better wait until the temps get above zero and the snow is gone:7

Done with legs & back and ARX before 5pm! Makes me happy:) Tomorrow is kenpo - hope we get home early enough for me to sneak it in before the race starts at 8. If not, looks like tomorrow will be rest and Sunday Kenpo.

I'm sooooo excited. Today is my weigh in day and I lost another 1.5 pounds!!:) Tony is my idol.

Wendy - I have absolutely no doubt you will get back on schedule this weekend. You totally amaze me! You are a juggling queen:)

Nancy - I hear ya with the eating. I have to tell you though that Amy pointed me in the direction of sparkpeople.com for help with eating and it has totally changed my eating patterns. I use their nutrition tracker and that is why I have lost weight with Tony. Theres also always someone there to chat with and they also have some awesome articles. If you have time, check it out.

Laura - Cheese once a week is a splurge? String cheese is my crutch - I generally have 2-3 of them a day:eek: I just can't help it! But, at least is has a good amount of protein and it sure beats potato chips.
How's the SIL like the program? Has she done all of the workouts besides ARX? Does she appreciate Tony's humor?:D

Reba - Don't ya hate it when someone won't let you type? That's usually why I don't post until late at night - it's the only time of the day that's MY time and I know I won't get interrupted.

Sunny D - My back really feels it when I do a lot of push ups. I'm sure it's because of the stabilization muscles are going to work. But, I generally don't feel it much in my back with the pull ups. Maybe I'm not doing them right, but I use mostly my arms with the pull ups. I've heard that to do a correct pull up, you should use and feel it in your chest and back as well as the arms.

Diana - Did you find the worksheets you were looking for? Someone on Cathe emailed them to me a while back and I can forward them on to you if you still need them. If so, let me know.

Time to go make dinner. Have a terrific weekend everyone!!

Angie

Hey Girls!

Got in my step class and yoga as planned. I feel good as after Legs and Back/ARX tomorrow I am 100% caught up and will be ready and willing to rest on Sunday!;)

The yoga vid I did is Baron's Long and Lean. I tried it once before but only did the first section (15 mins) which is similar to the first 45 minutes of YogaX. Today I did the entire thing-about 50 minutes. It goes from the vinyasa series into a little balancing, into core work, upper body strength work and then back work. It ends with a relaxation pose. I found the upper body strength worth to be very difficult. I couldn't do it all so I ended up fastforwarding through some it. It incorporates alot of holding of the low push up pose-ack, I am blanking on the name of it! LOL Anyway, it's tough on the upper body. I am wondering if the DOMS in my arms from B&B is what kept me from being able to complete it??

Anywhooo, I'm done and I'm happy. My running buddy called me this afternoon. We are going to meet for coffee at barnes and noble book store at 7 for about an hour since we haven't been able to get together for a run since I started the X. It should be nice. When I get home, DH has his bowling league to go to and DS will be in bed already...Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Peace and quiet for mommy!:D I usually go to my mom's for a visit on friday nights but she went away this weekend.

Tomorrow we are going up to see DH's family. He has to help his dad with something. From there we are going to dinner and to hang out with some friends. DS will sleep at DH's mom's house. I know he will have fun and I'm sure we will too. :)

Okay, enough babbling out of me! LOL

Nancy, I too have a weakness for cheese!:9 }( :9 It's in a food group all by itself as far as I'm concerned!;) LOL

Nancy, I wish your SIL luck with ARX!}( }( }( Have fun this weekend!

Reba, Sounds like you got a good work out in. Have a great weekend with your company.

Sunny, I get lat DOMS big time from Tony's back work outs so far...except for b&b...not enough back work in that one I guess. It's mostly biceps. My lats will hurt to the touch after a good back work out! }(

Diana, Hope you had a good work out today! Have a nice weekend.

Angie, Congrats on the weight loss! You rock girl! Keep up the great work!:)

How about going out for some fondue, girls!!! Talking about all of this cheese.....I just love fondue and it's not something I indulge in but for once a year. I can eat a whole pot by myself (with a whole loaf of bread, of course).

Reba, you had me laughing about being interrupted during a post. I'm a school nurse and inevitably when I start one a sick kid comes walking in. I want to scream....what's more important - you throwing up or me getting this post in? LOL

I remember I had more lat DOMS from a workout that wasn't called a back workout, but can't remember now which one it was. I love having lat DOMS because I rarely have them.

Okay, decided to stay on schedule and did Plyo. I was going to skip it and move on but I was feeling too guilty. I also feel so bloated and fat. I did a lot better today (at least no cheese) but not perfectly. Met a friend for lunch and had a huge bowl of lentil soup (not bad, right?) but ate about l/3 loaf of Italian bread with it. I didn't touch the butter though, lol.

Okay, have a great night......if anyone actually reads this at this time of night.
