P90X January Starters, TGIF!!!

Hey ladies!

CLASSIC/PHASE 1/WEEK 3/DAY 5

Well I did it ladies! I did Yoga X from start to finish in one shot last night! WOO HOO! Go me! :7

Today is Legs and Back and ARX. I may also end up going for an unscheduled run at the gym with a friend. If I do I will be ajusting tmrw's cardio accordingly. I will probably do KenpoX in this case. We'll see what happens.

Well, I have to get myself and DS ready for work. I hope everyone is staying warm! It sure is freaking COLD out there today! BRRRRRRRRRR!:eek:

Today is supposed to be X Stretch for me but I am subbing "Reach" because I neglected yoga earlier this week. I am tempted to do some cardio as well, but I am trying to stay true to the concept of the "recovery week." :) I am itching to hit the weights, though!!

Wendy, I think you're crazy if you run outside today! It's 9 degrees here. It's so cold they delayed school (guess they were concerned over freezing roads since it snowed last night but it was so windy there's really no snow out there at all).

Good morning!

8 degrees in NYC today!! Baby...it's cold outside.

I forgot to mention last night that I cranked out 9 big-boy pushups at one time yesterday. That's quite an accomplishment for me who, just a short time ago, couldn't do one!!! I don't think I've lost inches, and I know that I didn't lose pounds, but maybe the X is making me strong!!!!!!

Okay, Phase 1/Week 4 (rec.)/Day 3 (I think?) and Kenpo it is this evening.

Good morning ladies .. {recovery week .. week 4}

8 degrees!! 9 degrees!!:eek: .. OMG .. I am cold and it was only 26 degree here!! and to even think about running in that kind of temps .... :eek: :eek: ARE YOU CRAZY???? ok .. my lungs would freeze up and I would die first deep inhale!!

I saw in Boston the wind chill was 30 BELOW ... :eek: :eek: :eek: WTH?? I would be in hibernation mode .. in bed .. screw work .. to me it would be risking getting hypothermia just trying to get to work .. much less to the gym!!!!

Oh how I love the South!! :7

REST DAY for me .. yayyayayayayayaya~!~

have a busy one .. we are cooking soup and chili to raise money for the American Cancer Society here at work .. then it is off to have supper w/our hunters that are down .. BOILED jumbo shrimp by the camp fire.. then it is off to my childhood BF 40th birthday party .. OH HOW SWEET PAYBACK is going to be .. he did not let me forget one second when I turned forty .. so payback is on it's way!!!

Tomorrow painting the guest bathroom ..DH does not know this .. LOL .. he would stroke out .. think he is in home renovation OD ...

Plan on doing Cathe Low Max for cardio tomorrow . . w/ ARX ...

Ok .. all you northeasterners STAY INSIDE crazies!! Think your cold wave is going to be down here around Monday .. although we will NOT get those kind of temps .. just in the low twenties at night.. but my goodness .. that is way to cold for these old bones!!!x(

NANCY .. WOW .. I am proud of you .. way to go on the pushups ..

Wendy .. don't let the training book for your test intimidate you .. a lot of the info you already know .. you can do it!!

Marie I am with you .. I am itching to hit the weights too .. and that is a very strange concept for me .. I used to HATE working weights .. and now I love it!!

Good Morning :)

Today is whatever is supposed to follow the Shoulders/Arms one - I cannot remember :) Last night I took it off - we went out to dinner and to the LION KING production - off broadway - it was AMAZING :) I loved it!

Sorry for short post, but my mom is stopping in (to where I work) to visit over a cup of coffee - gotta run!

I am feeling under the weather and haven't worked out yet. I have cleaned 2 bathrooms though and have one left to go. If I start feeling better, I will do core synergistics.

WOO HOO! phase 1 is officially OVER!!!!!!!!!!!

this morning was my "favorite".... yogaX.... the first part went surprisingly fast... but the 2nd part draaaaaaged... but it's over.. now more yoga until wednesday!

all your nor'easter peeps... stay inside! BRRRRRRRRRRR i talked to my parent's last night and they were telling me about the cold you all are finally getting (after being WARMER than us in socal for the past few weeks!)

i have another century bike ride tomorrow... but at least the temps are supposed to be decent (high of 68 for the day... so not bad.. i'd prefer a bit warmer... but after the 28 degree temps of the last organized ride... i'll take 68!) this one is one of my favorited cuz after the ride they serve: julian apple pie ala mode! GIVE ME PIE, baby!!!!!!! i swear that's the only reason i pay for this ride (well.. that and the AWESOME dudley bakey bread at the rest stops!) ya.... i do these rides for what they feed me! i have no shame!

My run didn't materialize tonight. It's just as well though cause I was tired from Legs and Back and ARX anyway. :)

Tomorrow morning is my (hopefully) long run a the gym. It will be my LAST work out before my first recovery week! YEAH, BABY!:+

Hello all

Sounds like everyone has a busy weekend on tap. Not me - had a busy week and now it's time to breeze thru the weekend. Tomorrow is Kenpo and I have to add ARX because I didn't do it with legs tonight. Company came over and it probably would have been rude to make them wait another 16 minutes before I came upstairs from my workout.:) But, I thought, no prob! Kenpo isn't that bad and ARX could easily go with it, especially since rest is Sunday.:) ;-)

Well Phase 2 recovery is next week. I'm dreading it!!x( I know I've complained about the monotonous ARX and getting sick of it, but I think I dread the idea of having to do Yoga twice in one week even more...plus add stretchX as well, which is Yoga-ish. The only bright side is that core syn is twice too - I like that one, since I haven't done it enough to hate it yet. LOL Oh, the joys of P90X. I hate it - but I love it???

LOL Angie. You sound like Tony when he's talking about ARX in the mini interview at the beginning of the work out. He says something like "Ab Ripper X-I hate it!...But I LOVE it!" :7

I am actually looking forward to the recovery week myself. It'll be a different routine. Change is good, right? :)
