P90X January Starters, Sunday

Classic/Phase 1/Week 3/Day 7 WOO HOO!:)

Good Morning Ladies!

Today is a rest day for moi. YEAY! :) I am hoping to get in a stretchmax segment at some point. I am going to visit family with DH for a few hours but that's our only plan so I should have plenty of time to fit it in. Ofcoures, with having to do YogaX twice and StretchX once this coming week...maybe I should just forget about SM for now! LOL :p

With the first 3 week behind me, I must say, I am feeling REALLY GOOD about this program! I want to fastforward to day 90 just to see my end results! LOL

Hey Wendy - you will not be the only one in recovery week - I'll be there with ya too - I'm phase 2 recovery, but I think they are the same, if not, very similar.

Went out to eat last night too Nancy. I did good at the restaruant with broiled cod and wild rice and veges, but the 4 bud lights when I got home put me way over on my calories for the day. LOL Oh well, I am at a plateau, so the extra calories might do me some good. Did you all see how well I justified my actions?:p

Today is rest day, then the dreaded recovery weekx( My 12 year old is bugging the heck out of us to go snowmobiling. He just got his permit this year and he's itchin to use it! So, I'll be off to go snowmobiling this afternoon. That should be good for an ab and low back workout.:) :)

I just got the book Body Flex - Body Magic by Anja Langer in the mail yesterday. I would actually prefer to sit home and read thru this. Anyone have this book on weight training? The reviews on amazon were really good and I was able to pick it up on half.com for about $6, so I thought it was worth a preview. But, still wrestling with tax time so who knows when I'll actually get to seriously sit down and read it.

Hellllllooooo!!!!

Wendy, I have two more days of my first recovery week (if that's what you want to call it). It was difficult too. I think I'm seeing some changes because it's the first time I've followed a rotation. We'll see...I'll take some measurements on Tuesday.

Angie - I did ok at the restaurant. We wound up at a good Greek diner nearby and while my family had souvlaki platters, etc., I ordered a grilled chicken spinach salad with greek yogurt dressing on the side. (I had to pick out some bacon pieces though). The plate was huge so I brought at least half of it home and used only a tiny bit of the dressing. And, I only picked on two french fries from my daughter's plate. I did well.

You have to let us know about your new book. I'm always looking for a good fitness read. I went back to Barnes & Noble again yesterday looking for the Clean Eating Diet Book and it's still not in. This time I was mad. The magazine says Jan 1, some sites said Jan. 15th, Barnes and Noble said Jan 26th last time I was there, and last night----still nothing. Now they said Jan 28th (today) but I don't feel like running back there. I'll call them in a few days, I guess. It's probably everything I know already anyway. I just have a problem with portion control.

Today is Core Synergistics for me and then I'm taking a huge pot of Lentil soup to my mom's for dinner today. My mom's not well and we have a live-in taking great care of her.

Okay, have a great day! I wish I were going snowmobiling. Sounds like a lot of fun!!!!! Do you each own one?

Well, I did a really stupid thing. I was walking the dog last night and ended up stepping into a pothole and taking a fllllllyyyyyyiiiiiinnnnngggggg fall. I twisted my ankle really badly and banged up both knees. I am hobbling around here today. Ugh, I'm so pissed. I really want to work out but I think it would probably be too painful. Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow to kick off phase 2!

Oh Marie - I feel so bad for you!!:( x( ;( It's best to let your body try and heal up a bit before you dive back in. You don't want to extend an injury. Sending healing vibes your way/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Back from the ride and it was fun, although a bit cold. We have 3 sleds between 4 of us, but DH takes the youngest one with him. He's not old enough yet to ride his own, but he sure would like to.:D

Congrats to you Nancy for behaving last night. Sounds like a yummy dinner too. I just love eating out. After my indulgences last night, we had company over after the ride and ordered pizza and bread stix. It was soooooo good. I haven't had take out pizza in weeks so I really don't feel too guilty. Although, I should have stopped at 2 slices - but I had 3.:eek: I was hungry after that ride!

Back to the grind tomorrow.

Oh Marie! I hope you're feeling better soon.

I bet snowmobiling is so much fun. Do you ski also? I tried skiing a few times. I think my main problem is that I was too cautious. I'm afraid of breaking something and I think that puts you at greater risk of actually getting hurt.

I always eat 3 slices too. Two is not enough, and three is too many. But, I've been known to go for the 4th too. I had lentil soup at moms at 4:30 and just polished off my spinach salad from last night. I'm still hungry. Now what?

I did Core Syn today but I have to admit I skipped a few. I have a kink in my neck and I'm not sure whether it was working out or how I slept last night that caused it. I didn't feel anything until this morning. No banana rolls, dreya rolls, and such. The way I figure it is just a short time ago (when I wasn't doing a rotation) I would have blown off the whole workout. I feel more obligated to get a workout done now even if I don't "bring it" each time. I know I won't get exactly what I could from the X, but I'll live with what I get.
