P90X January Starters, Saturday!!!

Hey there gals!:)

I have a TM run on tap for today...my "regular" saturday fare. I look forward to it as it's the only time I usually get a run in w/the X. I was running 3-4 days per week prior. It's probably a blessing in disguise though...changes things up and gives the knees a break.

So my butt is FLAMING from Legs and Back y'day! It's a work out that Tony doesn't change for the entire 12 weeks yet in week 7 it can STILL give me DOMS!!!! I think the man is on to something here! }( }( }( I still need to add the extra day of leg work to keep up my endurance but L&B is definately no slouch!:)

Hey girls

Wendy, my butt is still flaming two days later. I did Kenpo yesterday and my whole body is sore and tight today. Stretch X is on tap today (thank goodness) and then the dreaded recovery week.

I still can't believe that I've kept with this program for so long. I had never done a rotation before and I'm still not bored with this one. Whoohoooo!!!

Good job on keeping the DOMS going with Kenpo. I like that work out alot!:)

I am starting my Phase 2 recovery week come Monday and I am actually looking forward to it! I am thinking of adding a couple days of running to it this time though.}(

Hi Ladies,

I'm still making desserts for my son's birthday party later today. I made 2 cakes last night and DH and DS made the castle cake with with them. I also made a double batch of brownies and am currently working on the ice cream dessert. Busy morning.

I have no idea what's on the rotation for today, but I was hoping to get in a cardio workout. I don't think that's going to happen. DH is having a slumber party and they will be using my workout room to play video games, watch movies etc.

Wendy-I always try to get extra cardio in during the recovery weeks also. Isn't it nice to "feel" that your workouts are working! Off to check out your other post.

Nancy-Great job with Kenpo X. I'm starting phase 3 on Monday and am so looking forward to it. I think I like the weight workouts better in phase 1.

I need to finish up my desserts.

Hey gang:

I 'tried' to do YogaX, but I don't have a mat so my feet were slipping all over the place. I did about 20 minutes and decided it wasn't worth trying to keep my feet still for the rest of the time. I added a yoga mat to my list of "To Get Once Our Snowstorm is Over" ;-)

Now??? What do I do? I'm thinking a Cardio Coach, haven't done one of those in a while. }(

Marcia,

The best sub for yoga would probably be a long stretch...Stretch X perhaps. You can do CC if you want though. There are no X gods watching you that will strike you down for doing so!;)...Or are there???? :eek:

Still PMS'n it today}( Hormones are such a drag...

I punched the heck out of the air on Kenpo today though - now I got a ton of laundry in front of me. DH asked last night if I went on strike:eek: I glared back at him and he said that he just wanted to know if I was getting back at him for something he did, and that he wouldn't do it again.:D :7 LOL! I think he's down to his last pair of skivvies. Just been so busy at work that I have been neglecting the home stuff.:(

I'm sure my 1 pound weight gain was from the PMS - I don't feel near as bloated today and I feel really strong in the ab and arm areas. However, my appetite is huge today! I'll be drinking tons of water today and green tea to try and get it under control. Weekends are so tough on the eating - then throw the hormones in the mix and ug! Oh well, guess we can't be perfect all the time. ;-)

Just mild DOMS from L&B yesterday. I can't wait to do Butts & Gutts after next week - I'm sure major DOMS will be in store for me then. I really feel like my body has gotton used to this routine and without the recovery week in phase 3, it's time to switch things up again. But, the X upper body workouts are just hard to beat and I'm sure I will be reaching for these often.

Off to do laundry, vacuuming, and anything else that I need electricity for before the storm hits tomorrow - just in case we lose power. Hopefully it will stay south of us, but I still want to be prepared. Have a great weekend all!!

Hey gang - I'm back again..........

I just finished Cardio Coach #4 - I believe it's like 50 minutes or so?? I didn't keep track because I just needed to do 'something' for a workout that was fun, different and not weights since I'm on schedule with X and don't want to change anything with that rotation. :) I think I will take you up on your suggestion, Wendy, and do Stretch X, too.

I'm sure I'll be back, I really hate feeling couped up in the house when there is freezing rain outside. DS is out on the four wheeler plowing snow, he just loves that, but WOW he's tough, the rain is coming down pretty good and I'm sure he's getting pelted by it. :-( He's only 10, but one tough young boy ;)

I'm off to put a ham in the crockpot and do Stretch X.
