Good Morning Xers!

Classic/Phase 2/Week 6/Day 6

Taking my rest day early today. We are headed up to my sister's for a family gathering/party in a couple of hours.

Tomorrow I will run and do some yoga. :)

Last night's kickbox class did not happen. I was running out of time to make it there and would have had to rush so much that I would have not even enjoyed the class so I canned it. Sometimes it's just not worth it...stinks that they will charge me the membership fee this month now but oh well...:-(

I can't believe I am more then half way through this rotation already! Time really flew! I am LOVING it! I am not bored at all! It's sooo different from what I am used to doing. I think that's what I like about it so much and why I am not bored even though the work outs can be repetative.

classic w/some cathe

today is chest and back. no ARX as i did abs yesterday with KPC. i was also hoping to get in a small run but i don't think time will allow for it today:-(

wendy- that is a stupid gym policy. i don't get why they are so big on you having to take a class. as long as you work there, your membership should be free...HMMMP

i was reading a article in the latest M &F hers and the more i read the more i just believe in P90x. tony has really done his homework with this program!

Sorry you couldn't get the run in. I know the policy is stupid. The people who own the gym are cheap. That's all it is. They want to get away with as few "free" memeberships as they can! ACK! This is one reason why once I am certified I am considering not even looking for a PT position there.

Tony definately got it right with the X! Man, that program is on the friggin' money! It's made me believe that you don't have to do endless cardio in order to lose body fat and look good! :)

No kids and no DH for me all day:) It's so nice to have a day all to myself!! I'm going to get Kenpo done before noon so I have all day to either get my motivation up to clean or just surf on the computer - haven't quite decided yet.....

Monday will be the start of week 11. Still thinking about what I will do. I'm pretty sure I'm going to intermingle the new Cathe's with the arm P90X workouts and see how that goes. If my weight loss or muslce tone goes south, then I will probably just repeat phase 3. I want to get into a bikini this summer!!}(

OK - got to go get ready for Kenpo.

HI there. Just trying to get into the Lean rotation. Boy some weeks, I just barely get three of the day's workouts I'm supposed to. I hope I get some benefits from it. My schedule is erratic sometimes. Are you following the food plan too? Looks quite restrictive but maybe I could use some restrictions, ha ha. I like not having to bust my 45 year old knees to do leg worketc. I will have to modify the plyo workouts if I ever switch to the Classic rotation. bye for now. ;-)
 
Well, I followed the classsic rotation, mostly because I only have time to do about 1-1.5 hours to workout a day. I just don't want to do any more than that, and now with the results I have gotton, I know that I don't have to. Also, I kinda like the big muscle look:) I would rather look more athletic than just lean.

I didn't follow the X diet. It looked too restrictive for me. Instead, I logged my food for the first time ever and stuck (for the most part) to an 1800 calorie diet. For me, I think I really needed this many calories in order to drop weight, especially while doing the X. I think too many people make the mistake of not getting enough calories when doing major exercise. I also get in 64 oz of water a day and at least 2 fruits and 2 veges - usually more. I use sparkpeople.com to make sure I do what I'm supposed to and it has definitely worked wonders for me. I have not modified the X workouts at all! Which is pretty hard to do, since I miss Cathe so much, but I'm looking forward to 2 weeks from now when I'll be able to do a Cathe workout.;-)

Stick to it as much as you can and you should see good results. P90X was probably the best purchase I have ever made!!;-) Good luck to you.

Hey Everybody -

So since I skipped my rest/stretch day on Thursday I decided to Stretch X it last evening. That's a hard one to get started on but two minutes into it I am loving it. It feels really good when you're done too.

Yeah, Wendy - that's a stupid gym policy. I used to hate dealing with gym membership policies. I'm glad I exercise at home now.

Sunny - I'm curious what the article in M & F was about. More weights, less cardio? I guess I had it right all along, lol. I've always hated cardio. I think that's one of the reasons I love the X so much. The cardio is doable to me (especially since I don't Plyo to the sky because I'm afraid of my knees!):)


Naseolian - I hear what you're saying. I'm starting week 7 today and I probably should be up to week 8 l/2, lol. Some days I just can't get to it either because I'm too busy or too tired. I just keep on plugging.

I am missing Cathe too. I can't wait to do the Gym Styles again.

Okay, the house is clean and I'm going to do Chest, Shoulders, Triceps. Then a nice shower and out to dinner. See....that's my downfall....FOOD. I did get the Clean Eating book from Amazon yesterday. It looks nice. It's very colorful.....now all I have to do is read it and abide by it.

Peaking in quick to say "HI". I did Kenpo X this morning and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, took measurements :)

I had a Tastefully Simple party to do, watch DS in his basketball tourney and now changing quick to go bartend until 1AM. Whew....

I'll be a tired girl tonight when I finally get home. :)

Been eating REALLY GOOD, and very proud of myself. Wish I could stay and chat, but as you can tell - it's a busy day - I need to get to my second job of the day! :)
