Classic/Phase 1/Week 3/Day 6 WOO HOO!

Hey girls!

I'm at the end of the line before recovery starts. I'm excited! I will do my long run at the gym today and then it's time to sit back and relax for a week!;) ;)

I am a bit sore from the leg work y'day...or maybe it's the combo of spin and leg work on back to back days. Who knows but I like it!}( I'm not so sore that my run should be hampered though! :)

Hope everyone is doing well...I'll be back later!

Hi Wendy

Looks like it's gonna be a pretty lonely place here again.:-(

You don't really think you're gonna sit back and relax do you?? Recovery week is so inappropriately named. That's the reason I'm dreading it. There might not be any heavy weights or ARX, but it is anything but relaxing, especially if you're not a big fan of Yoga. It makes me want the weights again!! So, I guess it serves as a good source of motivation.;)

Oh Cathe, only 5 weeks to go.................

Have a great weekend!!

Angie

Classic/Phase 1/Week 4

I agree with Angie. Recovery Week is not about relaxing especially due to that Yoga. (Core Syn is no walk in the park either, lol) And I prefer weights any day!!!!

Today I only have Stretch X which I haven't done yet. I was busy running around this morning and then just had lunch. So in a little while.......I like the feeling I get when I'm done with this one...it's just getting started that I find harder.

Talk to ya later!!!!

Nancy

Hi ladies,

I ran 5 miles at the gym today. I did a 1 mile w/u run, did the sprints from my itrain indoor marathon training work out, did a separate 20 min itread and then ran another .25 of a mile to get to the 5 mile mark. The work out was awesome, it had sprints, hills, flat runs...a little bit of everything in it!}(

Angie, Well thanks for bursting my bubble about recovery week girl! This is for you :p :p :p !!! LOL :7 I am still looking forward to it simply for a change ofcourse I could quickly change my mind once I start!;)

ETA: Hi Nancy! We were posting at the same time. I don't want to hear that you blew off stretch x! Get to work girl!:p

Good afternoon, ladies! Core Syn for me today. I definitely did better with this than last time - you really have to focus on engaging the core (DUH) to get the benefit, lol.

Tomorrow is Yoga X then I am off to phase 2! I'm interested to see what the phase 2 workouts are like!

Have a great weekend!
Marie

Hi Ladies,

I was sick yesterday and didn't workout. Now I don't know what to do. I still need to get in my second core syn. workout this week so I'll probably do that and a Cathe cardio. I'm definitely ready to hit the weights again in phase 2:)

Wendy-sounds like you had a great workout on the treadmill today!

Angie-sounds like you're ready for the weights again too. I had minor DOMS in my shoulders from core syn. and I only used 5lbs. I'm going to use 8 today though.

Marie-I'm looking forward to phase 2 also.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and is ready and motivated to start phase 2:)

Hi ladies.

I did NOT ditch you all. I simply revamped my planned workouts. I had to take some time and concentrate on what is going on, running and goal-wise. I've been following my official training program for my half marathon, and throwing in weights and other cardio in between (or in addition to, lol).

Wendy-I'm curious about the iTrain/iTread. I'm looking for a way to add variety to the days I have to do my runs on the TM. Suggestions? Thoughts?

You ladies ROCK! Thanks for letting me STAY here even though Tony isn't in my daily routine these days. At least I'm still working out, even IF I am so wishy-washy about what rotation! LOL

Gayle

p.s. OH....forgot to say that early this morning was an easy 4 mile training run followed by a nice long stretch!

Thanks for the encouragement, Wendy! X Stretch done! I feel good.

We're going to dinner in a little while. I don't know where yet. My vote is sushi.....but my DH and DD are getting sick of it. I don't know, I have a hard time choosing restaurants because I know when I get there I'll have no control.

Gayle, I'm glad you didn't ditch us! Good luck with your training!

Have a great night!!!

Nancy

Good Evening Everyone.

Man, I'm beat. It was a long day! I'm ready for bed and it's barely 8:30pm yet! LOL

Gayle, I am far from the expert on Itrains but I have a 60 min work out called Indoor Marathon training. I did part of it today-20 minutes of sprinting. It's a tough work out. It allows you short rest periods every 6 minutes and she says that is a great way to train for a marathon or longer race. I think it's tough even with the rest periods. It could be worth giving a shot. The only problem with Itrain is that the clips they give you to listen to before you buy are VERY short and don't tell you that much about the work out. If you want to just see if you like Grace's (the instructor) style then buy a 20 min one as they are the cheapest to "test the waters". Hope I helped a bit. There's also Cardio Coach.

Best of luck to everyone entering Phase 2! I have another week to go before I get there! Looks like I'll be the only one "in recovery" this coming week since I started later then everyone else. BOO HOO! LOL :p

I think I may sit down with my PT book yet again and read until I am ready for bed...I don't know how long I'll hold out as I'm already tired but we'll see. I don't have the energy for much else. I had been out all day since I left for the gym at 9am and pretty much was on the go the entire time! I finally got home around 7 and fed Joey and took care of some things around the house. He's finally in bed and I can relax. PHEW!

Have a great night!
