P90X January Starters, Monday!!!

Classic/Phase 2 Recovery/Week 8/Day 1

Hey there Xers!

It's yoga for me today but I will probably add a short Cathe cardio before-hand! I can't believe I'm starting Phase 2's recovery! This rotation is going by so quickly! I'm lovin' it!:) I have to admit I miss running more frequently and definately miss the Cathe work outs but I think the X is da bomb!}(

I have some DOMS from L&B today }( But, it feels good.

Today is Kenpo, my new favorite, can't wait to do that one. I'm sure I won't be able to move tomorrow }( ;-)

I hear ya, Wendy, I miss doing Cathe, too, but Tony cracks me up.

I'm back. I survived an early morning Cathe step work out! I started at 6:15! I've never started that early but I managed with out killing myself. LOL I did all 4 step combos of LIC but no blasts and no weights. It was a nice 40 min work out including wu, cd and stretch. I will do yoga at nap time or later tonight.

Marcia, So you have DOMS from L&B and now have to do Kenpo? I remember doing that the first week. Just the stretch at the beginning of Kenpo about killed me because of the lower body DOMS from L&B!LOL }( HAVE FUN!!!!!:)

Okay, gotta get movin' now...BBL!:)

(PHASE 3 - Week 9 :eek: - my version classic)

I am in a funk today ladies .. family drama crap .. plus I am once again broken out all over ??? stress??? I don't know .. but I look like I have the freaking measles??

Today is supposed to be chest and back :eek: .. DO I HAVE TO??? the push up torture tape is back .. aahhhhhhhhh .. feeling like I do today I am going to have to MAKE myself .. DRAG myself into this workout .. x(

I shudder just thinking about the dang push ups and the DOMS I will have tomorrow!!

OK .. I am going to have to get in a better mood ... I can do this .. I know I can ..

have a great day Ladies .. will check back to let you know if I managed to DRAG/PULL/PUSH myself to the gym to do this workout!!
 
Good Afternoon.

Well, I had hoped for a nap but I wasted too much time once I got home from work today so now I have to rush to get yoga in so that I don't have to do it tonight. This means no nap for me!:-(

I did LIC's 4 step combos this morning bright and early. It was a nice low intensity 40 min work out once you added in the w/u, c/d and stretch. :)

Laura, I am chomping at the bit to do Chest and Back again girl!}(

Okay...I'm off before I lose my chance....BBL!:)
 
OK .. I MADE myself go .. I MADE myself do it (chest and back)... and I feel a LOT better now!!:)

and no Wendy .. I was no where NEAR chomping at the bit to do it .. in fact I was quickly reminded of why! All the complaining I did about this video came flooding back to me .. LOL.. push up torture tape!!!

BUT ... I compared what I did to the last time I did it and I was able to crank out a total of 10 more reps on EACH of the exercises .. :eek: :D ... WOW ... I was shocked I was that much stronger .. especially given the bad mood I was in!!

I was going to do the progress pictures this weekend .. but this dang rash I have NO WAY would I ever take a picture .. look like a swarm of insects attacked me!! I WILL get to the bottom of this allergy I have developed .. I think it is the lotion I am using .. OR it is the laundry detergent .. (but I have used it for the past 6 months w/no problem .. the lotion I just started back using it.. they may have changed the formula!)

anyway .. maybe this coming weekend .. we will see!!

Get ready for some complaining tommorrow .. b/c I feel sure the DOMS are going to be rearing it's ugly head!! LOL:7

Laura, Good job getting C&B done despite your misgivings!:D Must've felt GREAT to see such an improvement in reps! I wonder what I will see when I get back to it next week!? *cringes in fear* LOL

Yoga is done. I did not have time for Yoga X so instead of doing only part of it I decided on Baron's Long and Lean Yoga instead. It's about 50 mins long. PERFECT!:)

Okay, I rocked Core Syn. I just skipped Dreya rolls and something else that I don't remember now. I didn't want any rolling on this tailbone. I feel so good!!!!!!!! I have seen improvement too, Laura. I feel so good....oh, I said that already!!! Just when I think I'm sick of the X I get a new energy for it.

Wendy, good job on getting your Yoga in. I wish I had more of a passion for it...I keep trying though.

Have a great night! No hubby home for dinner so I'm cooking up some Tofu with veggies and brown rice. I have this shezuan sauce (I know I spelled it wrong - too wiped out to get up to read the bottle) that I bought in a health food store - it makes EVERYTHING taste delicious.

Wow - you all get your workokuts in early - especially you Wendy - 6:30 and doing exercise. Yikes!!}( Hats off to you.;-)

Marcia - glad you like Kenpo - you'll be doing a lot of it:D

Laura - Way to go in getting that workout done!;-) You should be proud of yourself! Sorry to hear about the rash.:-( Have you eaten anything new or started any new medications? Have you had chicken pox in the past? Maybe consider getting allergy tests done??

Done with the CS&T with ARX. Oh how I wish the newness was still there to motivate me on. :-( I'm on my last week so there will be absolutely no switching now! I did however, dig out my old P90 workouts that I have on tape. I need to get out AR200 and do that one after this week along with whatever I decide to do post P90X. I'm pretty sure the first week will be filled with the new Cathes.:)

I guess we were posting at the same time. Your last week? Wow!!!! You must feel great! I'm on my recovery week of Phase II. One more phase to go.

Yeah....I'm not sure what I'm doing next. Do you have any ideas yet?

LOL - yup we were posting at the same time...

I'm trying to get suggestions on new workouts in the open discussion forum. I didn't realize how important it was to switch up my routine until I did the X. So, I'm looking for ideas on other workouts....My first one on Monday will definitely be Butts & Gutts:) I can already feel the DOMS coming on.

Do any of you do other workouts other than Cathe that you find both fun and challenging???
