P90X January Starters, Monday

Classic/Phase 1/Week 4: Recovery/Day 1

Good Morning Xers!:)

Well there was no Stretch Max to be found for me y'day! LOL I spent lots of time in the afternoon on housework and in the morning was out shopping with DH and DS for a new tv stand for our living room and then when we got home we had to put it together. Before I knew it the day was gone and I was too tired to stretch after dinner! LOL

It's YogaX for me today!

Yoga X for me too today, Wendy. I'm going to give it a go, yet again.

My diet has been really good though! I'm not following the plan, per se, but I've been eating really clean. I just have to keep it up, lol.

Good Morning - Looks like YogaX is on the menu for alot of people!!! I am doing Yoga as well tonight, but I made the mistake of playing catchup again this weekend and my LEGS ARE SORE already! Crap!

Just have to suck it up and do it :) I might have to do Brian Kest Power yoga in its place and then add on the last 45 mins. I just love the way he does his vinyasa flow!!! LOVE IT!

Nancy...Atta girl! Don't give up on Yoga X! You can do it! I have faith in you, girl!:) I actually would have liked to try Baron today but I don't have the vid yet and highly doubt I will get it in time. :-(

Ladies...What if any changes/differences have you noticed after taking the recovery week? Did anyone notice anything negative at all? I am petrified of weight gain, loss of strength, etc. I know it's not a week of easy work outs but with sooooo little cardio and no weight lifting, I am a little scared. :eek: Looking forward to it, but scared-YES, I am wierd!:p

yikes.... i've been slacking with my check-ins!

saturday was our p90x rest day.... however there wasn't much rest since we had a bike ride....

sunday started phase 2 with chest, shoulders & triceps.... i don't like this workout as much as the phase one weight workouts... i don't remember if i felt that way last time i did this rotation????

today was plyometrics.... so nothing new there... lol!

i'm not even talking about the eating thing over the weekend.... UGH!

today i'm back on track since i'm back at work... with only healthy things brought with me!

wendy... i was "fine" with recovery week... as long as i was eating good.... this weekend i was SO bad that i feel like a bloated pig this morning.... but again... that's my diet... not the workouts! (well.... and i added a couple of spinervals in there, too)

Morning Ladies {PHASE 2 begins - Week 5 - day one of my version of classic rotation)

DB .. again we MUST be sisters .. don't even talk about eating habits this weekend .. I was SOOOOOOO bad .... but like you .. getting back on track today ..

Had the party thing Friday night... my friend was surprised and we had a ball .. ran into some EX-friends there .. not a pleasant experience .. IMO they are like poison .. they all are disfunctional and have MAJOR issues .. thank God I got away from them and I bask in the light of my real friends .. It was an eye opener on how lucky I am to have my true friends .. and it was truley a dissapointment that those people have learned nothing and so disturbing that they are the way they are .. unhappy and wanting everyone around them to be just like them .. aaahahhh ... {{{ shaking head }}}

anyway .. was to start the tricep /chest shoulder .. but feeling like I really need some LEG work .. so going to work legs at the gym and may do the P90X tonight .. ???

the recovery week was good to me .. although I took 2 rest days instead of one .. b/c of the re-doing in the house . I got my workout though ..

.. I did gain 2 pounds .. which could be bloat since i was so bad this weekend .. not going to sweat it .. it is back to the grindstone today!!

Well, DS is in bed...all there is to do now is...YOGAX! AAAAH! :p :7 :7 Ill be starting in just a few minutes and intend to see it through to the end so that I don't have to worry about finishing it later. :)

Wendy, congratulations on getting Yoga X done! Can't say the same about me. I did the first 20 - 25 minutes and I have to say, I did much better than the other times I tried this. Then I pooped out. I'm still happy with what I accomplished. A couple of weeks ago I could barely do any of it. AND I'm starting to like downward dog....I can't believe I just said that. lol

Okay, this is my next to last day of recovery week. I haven't measured myself yet and I'm pretty sure I haven't lost more than l lb. or so BUT I find that I'm less hungry this week. (The first 3 weeks I was starving). I'll let you know how the measurements go. I'll do them tomorrow.

Can't wait to hear about your results Nancy! WTG on the yoga! If you keep adding a bit more slowly but surely you'll get the hang of it and be able to get through the whole thing. That's what I did and it worked!:)

I'm not feeling too great. I definately caught myself a bug of some sort. I felt it coming on y'day. :-( I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Yup - Yoga X here too - I sooooo hate the first 45 minutes of this workout!! I never wanted Cathe to do a yoga workout, but now it would be great so that I would have something to substitute for this one. I don't think I would ever buy a yoga workout other than Cathe, because I just don't like it. But, I have to buy Cathe's workouts no matter what they are.;) Maybe I'm just in a bad mood because I know I have to do it again in 3 days. x(

I was so darn hungry this weekend and today too. I finally chugged a liter of water hoping that maybe it was dehydration. Now I'm hungry and running to the bathroom.:eek::D

I've been at a weight standstill for the past 3 weeks. Not really noticing any body changes either:-( and have been pretty good with my eating except for yesterday. If I don't see any changes this week, I might increase my calories a bit. We'll see......
