P90X Grads and Nancy Thursday-ALMOST the weekend!

Just sayin' a quick hey! Wanna respond w/ personals from yesterday's thread, but I'm a bit short on time this morning, so it has to wait until this afternoon. Just finished S&H Legs + 200 walking lunges and now need to get ready & head off to class. Will BBL, though! Have a great day, ladies! :D

Where is everyone today?

Today was the last class, and I see that I have my work cut out for me as the certification process begins. It will take the entire school year, so I’ll continue working these next several works to learn and plan as much as I can. It'll make it easier if I can get a leg up now, and the sessions this week helped tremendously.

Catching up with personals finally…

Laura :: I’m sure you’re off thoroughly enjoying your time away from the asylum!! Good luck & hit it big! :D…Cardio, yoga, and k’boxing sounds like it’d be a great mix…Maybe you should look into filming a video…seriously!…I am actually not a book sniffer :D. But I'll share the weird smells I do like: Gasoline and freshly-mowed lawns.

Diana :: glad to hear all is well with Jerod and he enjoyed himself – although I gasped at all the stuff he lost while on vaca! Poor thing. Especially about the camera. But then again, I tend to think, well, it’s just *stuff.* Can’t take it w/ you. He’s safe, he had a great time, maybe he’s learned for next time ways he can be more careful, and that’s all you can do…As much as my heart flutters for office supplies, in truth, I am not all that organized. I try very hard to start off that way, but then I often struggle to keep it up. I’ve had colleagues compliment me on my organization, but little do they know, there’s a monstrous pile of filing tucked away in the storage closet, hidden from everyone’s view. :D It’s something I work on, but I think my natural tendency is towards clutter and mayhem. *lol*

Angie :: mmm, sounds like a delicious dinner…if you ever need another taste-tester, I’m available anytime :D. The cooler weather has arrived here, thankfully. It’s perfect – blue skies, warm sunshine, and temps in the 60s…No, I am not really doing two-a-days – I just did the CTX tri portion (which is only about 10 minutes) last night b/c I couldn’t squeeze it in in the AM. I *could* actually manage split w/outs on my summertime schedule, and sometimes I *do* feel like doing more in the evening, but I don’t. *lol* I have attempted splits during the school year, but it didn’t fly. Between work and grad school and the meds I was on (which caused some fatigue), it was too much. *lol* about your Vegas spendings. Sounds like me. When I went, I only dropped $50 in the casinos. And that was gone within 20 minutes.

Wendy :: your plan for your PT career sounds smart…You might also consider offering your services to staff at your local schools, if they allow you. My current district is very health-conscious and we have had folks come in to teach yoga or spin classes after school. The spin class instructor is a fellow teacher and he does it for free, but the yoga instructor charged. A lot of times the schools do have the necessary equipment, so it’s all right there.

So I wonder when Nancy is coming back.

~Cathy :)

They deserted us, Cathy!:-(

Just kidding...I know they are around here some where!:p Perhaps they are sleeping in today? :7 :7 :7

Thanks for the idea re: local schools, Cathy.

My spin class is in the bag but I decided to bag the upper body work today. I have time to fit it in before Monday when I begin the pyramids again so that is what I will do. This coming week is the final week of my current rotation and then it's VACATION TIME!!!! I will bring my Ipod on vacation and do ITreads, IClimbs and a couple of ISculpts while I am gone. It will be a recovery week for me since there will be no heavy lifting involved. It works out perfectly! I just hope the fitness room in our hotel is decent and not so hot like the one on the cruise ship last summer! I think I will also bring KPC and KM as back ups to do in our room. We will have a portable dvd player with us so just incase the fitness room doesn't work out I know I will be able to do SOMETHING!

I got my new runnin' shoes today! I need to test them out before the race on saturday so I will probably give the TM a short go after my meeting at work this afternoon just to make sure they are comfy. They SHOULD be but you never know! If I don't have the chance to test them then I will probably just wear the old ones. I don't want any problems w/my shoes during a 5 mile race...that would be BAD!

Okay, I'm outta here for now...BBL!

Yup, Wendy, I do believe we've been deserted. ;) :D How'd the first run in the new kicks go? I agree -- unless you've had a chance to break 'em in, I'd use the old ones for the race. Sounds like a good plan to keep up the w/outs while on vacation. You are going to Myrtle, right?

I just finished CTX biceps & 10 Min. Solutions RR Pilates: waist slimmer segment. I was tempted to do some lower body Squeeze, too, but then remembered I have Leaner Legs & a run on the schedule for tomorrow morning. No need to go ape w/ it. :D I have one more week on this lower body rotation, and I do think I'm going to be pleased with the measurements. Don't think the scale's movin', though.

Hi girls

I would've posted earlier but I lost my internet connection and was gonna call my ISP tonight but then I tried it again and whaaaalaaaa. Mysterious as it is, it works so at least that'll save me a call.
I finally did it! I broke down last night and bought those 10 minute workouts of Tony's. I thought it would be nice to have those as add on's if I needed them. I don't have CTX on DVD so it's have for me to add those on, since it takes so much time to fast forward and find the right spot. I really should just break down and buy those on DVD.
I was checking out Cathe's blog and the new outfits look pretty neat. Most of the poses are of moves that we already do on other workouts. I was really hoping for something unique, maybe some different moves. Too early to tell, so I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

Wendy - Yes, I did sleep in.:) Why is it everytime I TRY to sleep in everyone calls??? There must've been 4 calls before I felt like getting up, which was rather late, thanks to staying up late to read last night.;( I really should just take the phone off the hook when I want to sleep in, but any other time it just isn't an issue. Murphy's Law I guess....
Do you have a run coming up this weekend? Have you tried the CC workouts yet? Couldn't remember if you've used those yet or not.

Cathy - S&H legs with lunges huh? So, can you even FEEL your legs anymore? LOL! I did the X leg workout today and I got DOMS right after my w/o. They're not too sore now, but I wonder about tomorrow.
Oh, I like the smell of coffee, charcoal grills, and cigars or pipes (in small doses). I also love the smell of new cars...

Well, I should be liking the smell of dinner but I need to get my arse off the couch and go make it. DH got home and he looks hungry so I better get before he eats everything in sight before I get a chance to make dinner.:p

I'll check back with ya'll later

Angie

I'm here, I'm here. It's just been a really busy day at work. I did BM2 cardio blast this morning and Hamstrings, calves, back and abs at the rec ctr at lunch. I have bootcamp class tonight. We are expecting thunder storms and showers tonight so I'm not sure if we will have to move into the rec ctr for class or not.

I am noticing some changes-my hamstrings are becoming more defined and my abs are much flatter and have some definition along the outsides. I wish it was a 4pack, but flat and defined are looking good to me. Too bad the dam* scale isn't moving since that is all they are about at my weight watchers meeting.

Wendy-I would definitely recommend running the race in your old shoes. You could easily end up with blisters if the new shoes aren't broken in. Where are you going on vacation?

Cathy-Great job with S&H legs and 200 walking lunges}( Your comment about clutter & mayhem cracked me up. So really, you're just as unorganized as the rest of us but you keep it hidden!

Angie-Your dinner yesterday sounded wonderful. I know you'll be checking in later so I'll come back and see what you are up to.

Laura-happy gambling:)

Nancy-you have been on the longest vacation ever. Can't wait to hear about everything you did.

Have a great day,

Diana

OK, I'm curious for all of you crazies....I mean....girls....that do those split routines. When you do a w/o at lunch is there a facility right there that you can do it at? Also, do you sweat and shower right there? A lot of you do stuff at lunch and I have always wondered about this. Since my hair is so darn long now, it takes forever for it to dry and if I take more than one shower a day, my skin and hair have a tendency to get too dry. So, don't you have to shower twice per day when you do a split routine? Just wondering if that is how it works.......

Diana - Great job with the muscle definition!!:) The bootcamp is really kickin in for you - how awesome!

Good Evening!

So I was putting my sneaks on tonight and was ready to do the upper body work out I had blown off earlier in the day when it hit me that I hadn't done yoga for THREE WEEKS! I kicked off the shoes and went for it. I did 30 mins of Yoga X and am glad that I did. :)

I will do GSC&T and GSBS&B timesavers back to back with ab work either tmrw or Sunday. If I opt for Sunday then tmrw will be a complete rest day. If I opt to do the work out tmrw then Sunday will be my rest day, as usual.

Angie: Yes, it's murphy's law when it comes to the phone calls...DEFINATELY! I have one cardio coach that I got for free from a sweet Catheite. I've only done it once. I wasn't crazy about it personally and besides, I am in love with ITread. I have decided that I will not be buying the CC's. I am happy with my ITrains.

Diana: Congrats on the new definition!!! That's awesome! So how did bootcamp class go tonight? Did you have to take it indoors? I am going to Myrtle Beach on vacation with DH, DS, SILs, BIL, neice, nephew + a whole gaggle of extended family from my BIL's side! DH and I went down to Wildwood with that whole group a couple of times. It's a good time.:)

Okay, I think that about wraps it up for me tonight!

Be back in the morning!:)

Hi Angie,

I am fortunate that there is a rec ctr next to my office, and my company pays for the majority of our membership. We also have fitness rooms, lockers and showers in several of our buildings. We have tennis courts, volleyball court, indoor racquetball/wallyball court, weight room, mirrored aerobics room and tons of cardio equipment.

I try to work out in the morning at home-before work/seeing kids of to school etc. When it's not too hot, I run at lunch or go to the rec ctr. Since I'm following a heavy weight rotation, I'm doing weights at the rec ctr at lunch and cardio in the morning at home. I'm much better at keeping this schedule when the kids are in school.

I pull my hair up in a ponytail for my lunch workouts. I always shower after my lunch workout but do not wash my hair again. Since it's so dry here in colorado, I use sugar scrubs several times a week to keep my skin moist. I also use lotion at night sometimes.

Wendy-your family vacation sounds fun. I always enjoy big family get togethers (as long as they are not at my house).

Talk to all in the morning.

Diana
