Hey there Ladies!

I posted personals later last night so make sure y'all go check 'em out!

I have some nice DOMS from y'day's work out. I'm happy!}(

Today's plan is Cardio Sculpt Express, Cardio Core Express and 6 Minute Abs at nap time. Then at 5:30pm it's spin!:)

Tomorrow's my rest day. I'm going to a Baptism that is being held outside in someone's backyard. Dress is neat/casual. It's very relaxed compared to the usual. Should be nice. The dad is wearing a pair of nice shorts and a button down shirt! I don't know what the mom is wearing but I DO know that she had gone out shopping for an outfit! My kind of girl! }( I'm going to wear a pair of dressier black capris and a halter top with sandals. It'll be such a nice change. :+

BBL!

Good morning girls!!!

Wendy - OK I did a lower body jam last evening. Because I felt so fatigued in the legs I decided to do something I had never done before. I did all the floorwork from B & G, L & G, and GS. It was different. I worked as hard as I could but I'm not feeling it yet this morning. We'll see.....

Laura - I wound up making the escarole soup. But I make potato and eggs like follows - -

I bake french fries in the oven till very crispy. (Buy the ones low in fat...something like only 2 gms fat total.)

In the meantime....I sautee a huge amount of onions in a skillet in a drop of olive oil. (2 - 3 large onions) When the potatoes are done, I throw them in the pan and add my egg mixture which is about 18 egg whites, grated cheese (I use pecorino romano) - a good amount, a generous amount of parsley, about l/2 cup of skim milk, and salt and pepper. You can also throw various vegetables in - I sometimes use mushrooms. I don't use peppers though because then you would have peppers and eggs (another Italian pizza delicacy, lol) and I don't really care for it. I cook it all in one piece very slowly and then put a dish over the pan to flip it and then cook it on the other side. It comes out looking like a pie. I buy a whole grain crisp bread and we make heroes. Served with a salad it's a perfect meal. I usually eat a small amount of bread and just eat it plain.

My family goes nuts when I make this. It's cheap, easy, and delicious!!!!

Have a good day everybody!!!!

Nancy

Hi ladies,

I love my bootcamp class but working out at night is keeping me up late and then I can't get up for my morning workouts}( What's a girl to do? I'll have to make sure to get cardio workouts in on Sat and Sun.

Well Sunday is Father's day and Monday is DH's birthday. He wants a table saw. Of course, I thought he already had one. Apparently what he has is a Band Saw or something like that . Honestly, how many saws does one man need? I mean it's not like workout dvd's that get used everyday:)

I got some news last night that I'm not very happy about. My 19yr DS's girlfriend is pregnant. They currently live together which I wasn't happy about either. DS broke up with nice girlfriend and moved in with wh*** the same weekend. Sounds like that's when she got pregnant. When DS moved in with her, she apparently had another boyfriend. I think I want a paternity test. (am i being unreasonable?) DS is in the process of transferring to another college and had planned on moving to the college in Aug. Sorry to rant but I am really upset by this news.

Wendy-You inspire me to add more change to my routine. I really do need to add yoga. I just feel like if I'm going to workout, I want to sweat.

Nancy-Your potato omelette sounds wonderful.

Where is everone?

I'm heading out to birthday shop for a short bit and then to the gym for biceps and shoulders.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday.

Diana

Diana -

There's no doubt that a paternity test is in order. That's not unreasonable at all. I'm so sorry. It sounds like he had nice plans to go to college. I wonder how things will change now. "Youth is wasted on the young" How true this line becomes as I get older. I hope things work out for you and your family.

Yes, the omelette is wonderful!

Happy Father's Day and birthday to your DH. Yeah, my DH has all kinds of "saws" and other gadgets too. I close my eyes to them. They're in the garage and I never set foot out there. It works out well for the two of us. Unfortunately, the garage is full of all of this crap and my new car sits out in the weather. (I know there are worse problems and I'm grateful for what I have.)

Okay, I think Arms and Shoulders from P90X on tap for tonight. I'm getting bored and need new workouts.

Hi Ladies.

Well, due to the later onset of upper body DOMS I nixxed Cardio Sculpt Express but I layered on more ab work then orginally intended to make up for it!;-)

I did the abs from my Istrength and Isculpt work outs then I did Cardio Core Express and 6 Minute Abs as planned. My mid section is toast! }( I am going to the gym for a class this evening. It was originally scheduled to be spin but I may change it up for some kickbox. My quads are pretty fired up from L&B. I don't know if they can handle the intensity of spin today. I'll decide which class to take later on...maybe the DOMS will subside a bit before then...

Before I did my work out I went to the Itrain site to buy my first ISculpt Ballet work out and FINALLY decided to do something I should have done a long time ago...I went for the yearly subscription. I paid one price and get 3 downloads per month every month for one year included in that price. It come out to less then $3.00 per work out! I have spent so much $$$ buying those work outs alacarte up to now! They aren't expensive IMO but they DO add up in the end! YIKES!

Diana, (((hugs))) If there is ANY doubt about whose child this is then a paternity test is NOT unreasonable at all! Sorry this happened. I hope everything works out as best as it possibly can for your son. My thoughts and prayers are with you and him and all involved.
As far as yoga is concerned...I SWEAT!...And NOT because I pump up the heat before doing the work out! LOL If you do the power yoga it can be very intense on the lower body muscles and it can DEFINATELY make you sweat! I think you are thinking of another type of yoga that I don't like either. Yoga X is power yoga. I always broke a sweat doing that bad boy wether I did it in full or just the first part!}(

Hi Nancy!:) I say put the pedal to the metal and crash that car right into that garage and destroy all those darned power tools! That'll teach him to take up good space with that junk! LMAO! }( :7 :p ;)

Hey, girls! Happy Friday!!

I’m happy about it being the weekend, exhausted from the packing up/closing duties, and nervous about tomorrow’s exam http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/42.gif (might have said it already, but I gotta pass it to earn my M.S. degree).

I thought I might go for a run + BBC S&A, but I think I’ll do just the weights and save the runs for tomorrow & Sunday mornings. I have been lifting a lot of heavy boxes the past few days (which I am definitely feeling in my back), and in light of all the manual labor, I don’t feel too guilty that it’s not been a hardcore workout week for me.

Nancy :: sounds delish! OK, now I’m hungry.

Diana :: *lol* about the saws…happy b’day to DH…today is my mom’s b’day…What shocking news about DS – I suppose they plan to keep the baby? If so, you are completely reasonable to suggest a paternity test. Sorry that you have to deal with this upsetting news!…I know what you mean about needing to sweat to feel worked out. I am the same, and that is probably why – even though I know it’s foolish -- yoga is the first thing that gets cut from my program when things get hectic. Really, though, flexibility has always been a weakness for me, so I truly *need* regular yoga practice to be balanced.

Wendy :: cracking up about crashing through the garage and destroying all the tools.

Wow, sitting down was not a good idea. It is making me sleepy! Gonna eat an early din and then try to crank out a workout before studying some.

-Cathy :)
