Good Morning!

I did a 20 min IClimb and a 1.5 mile run at the gym this morning. I am doing housework now but when DS get up from his nap this afternoon we are taking him to a hands-on children's museum I found on the net. I hope it's as neat as it seems to be! Should be fun and a great way to beat the heat since it's indoors!:)

I had fun last night at dinner and my neck is on the mend. I should be at 100% by tomorrow I think. Speaking of tmrw, I go back to the gym styles this week. I like them better then the pyramids so I am looking forward to it!

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Ciao!:+

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying your Sunday~ :)

Got a new screen name. The other one was bugging me for awhile. (When I first signed up I was trying to think of a name to express my desire for muscle definition, and I sort of melded that idea with the ol' 80s throwback Desperately Seeking Susan. Anyway, after I'd joined, having that as a username started to make me a little uncomfortable for the potential gun/violence association.)

Today was a 2 mile run followed by a 20-minute walk and 10 Min. Solutions KB abs segment.

I am starting a week of classes tomorrow, so I'm off to go get my binder/paperwork organized, and then it's outside to enjoy some fresh air.

BBL!

Hi ladies,

We slept on our new bed last night, it is much firmer than the other one. It also sits higher than our old one. I'm sure I'll get used to it. I had lost a thumb ring and had hoped to find it behind the headboard, but no such luck. I did vacuum a lot of dust from behind there though. The kitchen floor and 1 bathroom still needs cleaned today. The rest of the house looks great though.

I plan on doing the SB/SJP 90 min cardio today. If I can get my butt out a bed tomorrow morning, I will do the CF mix n match premix.

I am missing bootcamp class tomorrow since Jerod is coming home:) :) DH and I will be picking him up at the airport at 7pm. I'm so excited to see him and hear all about his adventures. Part of the program included daily journaling so I can read about his experiences too.

Wendy-Joey will love the hands on museum and you will love watching him. Have fun... I prefer the GS over pyramids too. The ab work in PUB is awesome though. And it is also good to change our routines to keep them fresh-but you already knew that.

Cathy-I completely believe all the money teachers spend on their classrooms, books, stuff for their kids etc. Our elementary art teacher has won numerous awards. The stuff the kids bring home really look professional. She is awesome and always requests money from the PTO, and we always give it to her. I wish all the parents appreciated the time, money, effort and dedication that teachers put in to provide our children with the best education possible. I appreciate all that you do!!!

Have a great rest of the weekend,

Diana

Cathy: What kind of classes will you be taking this week? I can't keep up with your new schedule now that school is out! LOL

Diana: I am sure you will get used to the new bed. Enjoy it!;) }( :D So Jerod is coming home already!? WOW, the time went by quickly though you may not agree. lol I am sure he will be talking yours and DH's ears off about the trip for days...feel free to come back here and brag to us!:)

BBL!

Happy Sunday everyone

I'm so darn tired. Slept like crap last night and I have to get up at 6 tomorrow for a safety meeting at work. Ug! I will be going nighty night early tonight. It was a lot of fun yesterday but it is so hot and humid today that I just want to veg. Still trying to figure out which w/o to do today. Nothing really jumps out at me but I'd better get at it soon.

Cathy - Too bad the new name wouldn't allow you to keep you # of posts and date that you became a member. The old name reminded me on Tony, but I like the new one too.
So, what kind of classes are you starting? Is this for the certification you were trying to get?
Wow - that's a lot of cash. I think teachers frequently spend a good %age of their pay on their profession. Thanks for the investment in our kids!
Thanks for the kind words re: the X pics. I thought that posting them would give me some more motivation to keep on losin'.

Wendy - Glad to hear that the arthritis is getting better. So gym styles all week huh? Cathe sure knows how to make the bands burn at the end doesn't she?
I remember going to a 5 senses museum when I was a kid and loved it! If it's anything like the one I went to, you will have a great time.
Thanks also for your kind words about the pics too. It is because of all of you here that have given me the nerve to "just do it!". I appreciate the inspiration.

Diana - That will be so exciting to see Jarod. I'll bet he'll be glad to get home. It will be so fun to hear all the stories.
Just a suggestion - if you find that the bed is too firm. We bought one of those 3 inch foam toppers for our bed from Sams club for about $130. It takes a bit of getting used to, but now we would have a hard time sleeping without it. In fact, last week I had to go buy one for the 5th wheel. We don't wake up with numb arms and hands nearly as much as we used to. I can't remember if I mentioned the foam topper before or not, so if I did, forgive the redundancy.
If you need more cleanmax, come on over....lol....I don't feel like it today and there's plenty to do.x( I am not the queen of cleaning at all. I rarely feel "in the mood to clean", but I don't have much choice most of the time.
Thanks for the compliment about the pics too. That damn pear shape will haunt me forever I swear. I'm so jealous of those who say "I have no butt" - oh, I wish I could say that. If I could get rid of my butt and get rid the "cottage cheese" from the back of my thighs I would be a happy camper. :)

Alright, I need to grab a w/o and go. Check ya all later.

Diana :: looking forward to hearing what your world traveler has to report! It’ll be good to have him home again, huh? He’s got a long way to travel tomorrow…Thank you for your very kind words ~ I just have to add, I wasn’t at all sharing the amount spent to brag as though I’m some kind of super teacher or anything…I was just kind of shocked myself at the amount. And with regard to clocking my summer hours, it’s a matter of personal curiosity along with the fact that I *am* getting a bit irked by certain relatives who seem to think it’s a cake 10-month job that ends at 3 every day…Grrr! But speaking of art teachers, I will be in my third year in this new district, where they are very big into the arts, and I, too, am completely amazed by the kind of artwork the kids produce. I agree ~ much of what they do actually looks professional.

Wendy :: I am taking support classes for National Board certification…As I read more about it, it is starting to sound terrifying! *lol* These classes run from Monday – Thursday. Then next week, I begin my tutoring gig – which is one hour/one day a week for 6 weeks. Which reminds me, I need to prep for that. How's the editing of your essays coming along?

Angie :: so what workout didja wind up doing?…Ahh, Tony ~ I miss him. :)…Yes, these are the support classes for the National Board certification…good memory!…You know, I think you are too hard on yourself. I know, we are all our own worst critics, right? I’m no different. But seriously, your pics look *good* and you can tell you’ve been working hard. Did I share my X progress pics with you? You should see *my* legs! http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/29.gif ACK! *lol* But as you said, we’re works in progress. I think you have every reason to be PROUD of those pics!

Hello ladies.

Well, we took the 45 minute ride out to where this museum was SUPPOSED to be and guess what!? It no longer exists! Yes, we were cursing! LOL So we went shopping at a nearby Kohl's since we were there and DH needed some clothes for vacation. I picked up 2 really cute halter tops myself and had to restrain myself from buying MORE!LOL I had one that I bought last year and as my upper body definition has improved since then I just HAD to have more!:p I now have 4 halters and will bring them ALL on vacation with me cause I say:IF YA GOT IT FLAUNT IT!!!!}(
After the shopping trip it was home to make dinner. DH grilled steak for himself and chicken for DS and myself. I made mashed potatoes and green beans. It was quite the yummy meal!:9

Well, it's time to get DS ready for bed. I should be able to get back here to catch up on the couple of personals I haven't responded to yet so BBL!:)

I picked up Push Pull and now it's done. I haven't been on the rotations forum in a long time and I just went there and got my rotation for the next month. I love how they have all the rotations posted like that - awesome. YAH! I'm gonna try the April 06 Lower Body Bananza and see how that goes. I had to make a couple of substitutions but it looks like fun. I'll be biking instead of running. Before the summer is out I need to get my ipod so I can do the CC workouts. I think adding running into my routine will make a big difference. I will have an ipod before the end of this next months routine!!!

Cathy - You are very kind. I appreciate your words of encouragement. It really makes me feel good. Yes, we are our worst critics aren't we? I'm being a bit hard on myself b/c it has made a difference for me the last couple of months. Believe me, I give myself a lot of breathing room - like tonight when I decided to order pizza for dinner b/c I was too lazy to make anything.x( Life happens. I'm just trying to behave 75% of the time with my eats, which is much better than it used to be. My progress has slowed but I feel like I just have to do what I feel is realistic for me. I don't want to get to my goal weight by being too strict and then lose it mentally and revert back to my old ways. I see lots of people who do that and I don't want to! I'm hoping slow and steady wins the race and keeps it won. LOL!
Does your PTO help out quite a bit with school expenses? It sure would be nice to get re-imbursed for those expenses. You can sure tell that you love what you do. :) So, ya gonna be hittin' the books this week?

Wendy - Awwww - that stinks about the museum:-( But, all was not lost - new clothes! You definitely should be showing it off girl! What the heck is the point of working your body out like you do if you can't have a little fun with it every now and then. It reminds me of when we went to the June race and girls were walking around in bikini tops - some of them looked good and others....well....shouldn't have been wearing them if you know what I mean. But, even though there were a lot of skinny girls, there weren't very many FIT girls. I'll never have the nerve to wear a bikini top no matter what, but I hope to someday get the body and the confidence to wear a half shirt or tank with pride. I want to show muscle, not skin. It probably sounds a little strange, but seeing a fit girl just makes me stare. I guess I'm always thinking - I wonder what she's doing to get those guns? Gosh I hope that doesn't sound too weird. :7
Oh, by the way, I'm comin over for dinner.:9

Have a great night girls

Angie
