P90X finally arrived!!!

How good is it!!! I love the way that the DVDs show what exercise is coming up next. How good it that! I love the hardcore style of the weight training workouts.

I like Cathe very much, but I would love her to show what exercise is coming up next. I love that part.

I also quite like Tony Horton. He isn’t as LOUD as usual.
 
Hi Wayne! Mine arrived last week. (I got the complete set off of the Ya-Ya Swap.) I haven't done any of the workouts yet but have previewed bits and pieces of several. I also like that P90X shows which exercise is next and that the exercise segment as well as the entire workout is counted down. I've never seen Tony before, but his sort of pseudo-machismo cracks me up! I also really like the background exercisers. I'm waiting for my husband to install a pull-up bar and then I'll start. When are you starting?
 
Today. Though i will do my own rotation. The chest and back is too much for me. 12 sets and then you repeat it again. Nooooo....too much for me. I can't believe that woman in chest and back can do 30 press ups (on feet). I can't even do 30!!!

I also love the count down. You know how long you have left and can have a clear goal in mind. Plus eveyone else is doing what number they like (unlike Cathe who has a predetermined number in mind).

I like chest and back. Shoulder and arms. I am not a fan of Core Syngestics.

Let me know when you start. Its shoulders and arms tonight.

Glad you guys like P90X. It truly is a fantastic program. Good luck with it and enjoy Tony's jokes throughout, I like him very much, not only for his impressive skills in the series, but also because he's funny, takes your mind off your pain w/those little quips now and then and appears to be very human. :D
 
I thought that of core s also until I did it.It is a hard workout I suggest you give it a try it'll work a sweat up.
 
I must find that I like to do only half. What I mean by this is I like to do about 20 minutes of the weight workouts and then I like to do 20 minutes of plyometrics. So tonight will be 20 minutes of Shoulders and Arms and then 20 minutes of plyometrics.

Because I like to do chins and pull-ups daily (trying to constantly increase my number) I only do 20 minute weight workouts. Once my pull-ups are 20 plus I will resume my old training pattern.

Hi Wayne!! Glad to hear it finally arrived; your gonna LOVE it!! I know you'll BRING IT every day & you'll notice how different these exercises are let alone all those different pushups! Oh my! Have fun! Hugs, Kathy:D
 
I really really like P90X. My workout went great. Shoulders and Arms. Lovely!!! I love the style. The set. I love the darker feel. I get fed up with bright sets. I love love love that you know which exercise is coming up next...i just love it all. I also love how everyone is doing there own reps. Perfect.

That is maybe my favorite P90X workout (or is in Chest/shoulders/tricpes...or back/biceps, or legs/back...?). I also love the "circuit" style of the workout. Very efficient and also effective, IMO.
 
I think my favorite workout is the shoulders,biceps, triceps or something like that. I really just love the fact of just pure weightlifting, going hard and strong and really feeling the pump when your finished. It's great!!!
