Good morning ladies (and gents)!

Just starting a new thread to keep these from getting way too crazy - lol. A lot of interest in P90X - I think it's great.

I'm continuing my "play" week, where I play with all of the non-weight workouts before I start my rotation on Easter Sunday. I'm finally going to do Core Synergestics today. Looks challenging - which is good.

I'll check in later to give you my thoughts on it - that's if I don't float away in all of the lovely rain we're having here in California...

Hi Christine...yes I will float away with you!! Core Synergistics will definitley push you...:)..I will await your thoughts.

I'll be doing a 5 mile run (swim maybe?)x( :) and I do have Core Syn on my rotation today but I am subbing again and trying one of the TLT's "Strength In Movement"

Enjoy your workouts...:)

Hi!
I didn't do a p90x today... Haven't felt well... Hopefully
tomorrow. I did go for a walk. I really enjoy the core syn.
I think it's a good one! Garilee

>Just wanted to say "Hi Denise"...we were posting at the same
>time...:)

Hey sister!

Great minds think alike..LOL

Hi all, I am still playing with P90X also and also plan to start on Easter. Today I plan on playing around with chest and back to see if my lat tower on my bowflex can sub for a chin up bar for a while. I have a finished basment which is my home gym but I do not have a doorway to put a chin up bar in :( . In the meantime I did do Viper this morning and since it has finally warmed up I am heading outside to start spring cleaning in my flower gardens which is an all day project in itself(lots of large flower beds). Have a great day!

I love Core Synergistics. Oh, it beat my butt, but I love it! It's the TLT's on steriods. Holy cow!!! There are a few moves I definitely need work on, especially when it comes to endurance. But, oh man, did I enjoy it. And yes, I did the bonus rounds - oh give me a challenge and I'm there!

So far, I'm loving every workout!

hi all,

well i thought i was going to do p90x back and biceps, however due to time constraits, i won't be able to fit it in this week. however i am determined to do ab ripperx tomorrow and hopefully plyox on thurs....i am shaking as i write this:)

i am so glad to hear you are loving all the workouts. you've made me even more excited to get started with this program

Hello...I'm busting into your chat...I just got my P90X today in the mail! I'm very excited to start it. This week is alittle crazy with work....so Looking to start it this weekend.
Has anyone done the "Lean" phases??? I want to get toned...I'm not sure if the "Classic" will bulk my upper body too much???
Any words of wisdom or advise before I begin???
Thanks..
Alicia:)

Joanne,
I don't know what happened to my post. I would like to know if you were able to do anything with your Bowflex. I did pull downs with mine throughout. On Phase two I used the hand grips because I could not use the bar for the switch grips and the towel pulldowns (pull ups) I still gained some back definition doing this. Btw this is a great workout series.

Alicia...that's the beauty of P90X, you can use it to reach any strength/endurance/toning goals you may have. The workouts are done in a way that you can either lift heavy with less reps (strength and growth) or lighter weights with more reps (toning/endurance). Tony gives you enough time during each set phase to do anywhere from 6 - 15 reps. So don't worry about the bulking issue...I would definately advise you to do your first round using the classic rotation!!

Deni

Alicia...I agree with Deni to start with the Classic rotation. I did the Lean after and honestly it wasn't enough lifting for me...I loved the results I got with The Classic although I did switch to Doubles about 3 weeks into my 1st Classic. You will be joining a few other starting this weekend. I hope you keep checking in...:)...

Christine....my fav CS is "Superman, Banana!" Tony just seems to crack me up...:)

Alicia - Yep there are several of us starting this weekend. I'm looking forward to it! I think this series is going to kick my butt, in a good way. Please continue to check in and let us know what you think. Welcome!

Carole - I enjoyed the Superman Banana, too - although I need to work on that ole hip swing to get me from my back to my belly. I struggled a few times. I really like Tony's style. He's a little odd, but then so am I, so maybe that's why I relate to him!

Today I'm doing Power Strike 2 and Core Max - decided I could use a break before I start the rotation.

Ok all you P90X veterans. I'm in week 6, but had a stomach bug earlier this week and was therefore a slug on Monday. Yesterday I did chest, shoulders, tri's / ab ripper in the morning, and plyos in the p.m. I'm planning on doing back and bi's today, which would put me back on track. I'm thinking it's ok since it's different muscles - does anyone think otherwise? TIA

Lorrie

WOW!...tough day yesterday Lorrie!! Getting back on track with Back & Biceps today would be fine I think..:)

Christine...yes Tony is a bit odd but I haven't muted him yet!! Loved the TLT workout Strength in Movement, in fact I ordered the rest...:)

I am enjoying my recovery week alot...KenopX is on my rotation today. My least fav so I will do KPC kicking and punching drills and a 5 mile run.

Enjoy the day...:)
