i have completed the classics rotation and the first few weeks my second time of doing classics.my sis came in so i did cathe circuit. i have doms in my back from not doing deadlifts in over a month. how should i add deadlifts into p90x chest/back or back/bi so it doesn't happen again?
maybe do something like chest, pullups, deadlifts for 15 or less reps?

Laura-

You could try adding deadlifts during your leg workouts instead of on your upper body days.. Since the hamstrings get used so much in a deadlift, it might be a good place to put them.

Its been about a year since I've done P90X, but if I remember correctly isn't every other day a "strength" day? If so, adding them to the leg day might work out nicely.

Hi,

I'm in my second recovery week of my first p90x rotation. I add extra leg work 3x per week. It works best for me to add in the deadlifts/squats, etc on a day that I am doing weights or back. It doesn't compromise my performance. If I do it the day before, then I'm fatigued the next day and don't perform as well. You really have to figure out what works for you.

I'd put them in on the 'legs/back" workout day, since that's a workout that is used in every cycle. Just substitute a set of back work or two (and/or a set of leg work) with deadlifts.

Maybe you could put them in somewhere when there is downtime for you. For me, I don't need the full time for pull ups - I fatigue pretty quickly. I could use that time for deadlifts. Actually, I might just do that:)

good idea. i do not like the part where u kick to the side,45% angle, front of the legs. how many alternating sets of deadlifts would u do?
