Our first overnight trip since my son was born!

DH & I get our first overnight trip by ourselves next week since our son was born. My inlaws are coming into town to watch Aiden (16 months) and we are going to a B&B in the Adirondacks overnight. A chef is going to cook us a four course meal & we're staying in a suite w/ a jacuzzi. DH gets a bonus every year around this time. WAHOOOO!!!!!!!! It will be nice to get through dinner at a leisurely pace ;) Sorry for rambling but this tired (but very proud) mom is just so darn excited to be waited on for a little bit :7

Gosh you ladies make me feel like a bad mom, lol. My son is 2.5 months old and has slept over one of his granparents houses 3 times already w/o mommy and daddy! }(

I actually don't feel guilty about it all...Don't get me wrong, I love my son to pieces and miss him when we are away from him but I feel blessed that my family is close enough to me so that DH and I can have our time AND so that the grandparents can get some good quality time in with Joey with out his mom and dad thier to bug everyone! :p lol

My sister lives a couple hours drive from family so her and her DH don't get out often with out thier kids (6 of them!). I always say I don't know how she does it! I guess it takes a different kind of person...the kind of person that I am obviously not! lol :p

Good for you Debbie! You guys have an awesome time. You deserve it!
My sons 7 &almost 6 just slept over my Mom's on Monday. I was jumping for joy after I dropped them off, but by the next morning I was missing the buggers. Guess that's the way it goes.

Enjoy Enjoy! :7

Thanks, ladies! You are all GREAT! I just had to share some mommy excitement. Fitmom don't feel bad at all - I don't have family anywhere in the vicinity so frequent babysitting is not possible. Nor do we have the funds to have a regular. I would love to have family a little closer but we had to go where my hubby's job was :)
