OUCH! Does this mean I did it wrong?

Hi Cathe and anyone else who would like to answer :)

Tonight I was doing Afterburn and everything seemed fine until the stretch. At the point when I'm leaning over and with my clasped hands behind back and raising them up, my traps hurt a huge amount. This is I think the 3rd, maybe 4th, time I've done the Afterburn workout and I remember the first time, at the same stretch it felt like those muscles popped or something but didn't really hurt, second time was fine. But now, it's still sore and hurts to just move my arms any farther back than even with my sides.

Would this be from doing one of the exercises wrong (any idea which one)? Or just that those muscles are tight? Is there an alternative stretch I could try next time?

It seems to me that you might be stretching beyond what your body can do. Over doing it you may end up pulling a muscle fiber too far
Try it without raising your arms
If you are still sore ice the area down

Thanks it seems maybe it just cramped up. I did not know your back could cramp but I can do the stretch just fine without exercising or being warm. I had been afraid to do afterburn again plus I had been working a lot doing physical labor so that in itself wore me out to much to workout. Think I'm going to try it again today or tomorrow hopefully it'll go okay this time.
