We went to see the movie last night and I LOVED it! Not sure why, but it has been out since Christmas time and I haven't heard a word about it??? One of our friend/couple that we go out with have seen it THREE times and said they were going again last night so we joined them. EXCELLENT IMO!

I love the broadway play. I haven't seen the movie yet but I have a feeling I'd prefer the actual play than the movie. Glad to hear you liked it a lot! :)

Hi Debbie - I've seen the broadway show twice and loved it. I also have the original soundtrack.

Mar:)

I absolutleyl LOVED this movie. I never buy the DVDs, but am going to make an exception on this one!

I've seen the broadway show also and liked it but felt the movie was "easier" to understand the storyline! Lala1-I am listening to the soundtrack to it now. It is great. There is an additional song added on at the end by Minnie Driver (who is in the movie). It is called "Learn to Be Lonely." Beautiful song!

Yes, a really nice song--and who would have thought that Minnie Driver could sing--well I never did, anyway!!!

Yes, she has a beautiful voice. She cracked me up in the movie! The make-up was a hoot!

I took my daughter to see it a while ago and we loved it! I purchased the soundtrack right before we went knowing the music would be amazing and we would want to hear it. No regrets! We both thought the movie was fantastic and when we came out of the theatre I popped in the cd and we sang the whole way home:)

YES!!! My 13 yr old and I sing along and you should hear us (well, acutally NOT) when we reach those high soprano notes (we are pretty much altos:) ) but how much fun is that to sing along:D

Something you don't want to hear me do is sing, BUT I love the song "All I Ask of You" and I sing right along with it. Actually, the four of us were singing on the way home in the car to the CD too!Scary, but we had FUN!

I have seen the play and the movie. I love them both. Can't wait for the DVD.
I must say, I really think Emmy Rossum really gave Brightman a run for her money!!

I saw the play when I was in London in November. (crappy seats! But great lead singers!) I haven't seen the movie yet, but a colleague of mine who saw the play thought the movie wasn't as good. I'lll have to see for myself.

Minnie Driver doesn't actually do her own singing in the movie. this is a clip from the website.

"Though a talented singer in her own right, Driver did not perform her own singing for the film – her part was voiced by professional opera singer Margaret Preece, who has performed the role onstage."

Right Shelley...I meant to mention that. But, she DOES sing the song on the CD! She's got a great voice!

Sorry, I didn't meant to sound like a know-it-all there.

I was reading recently that Minnie Driver is releasing a CD soon. If her voice is that good, I may have to pick it up!

Sorry Shelley! Didn't mean to imply that you WERE a know-it-all! Ha! I was glad you mentioned it actually. I heard that she is the ONLY one in the movie who didn't do her own singing. Not sure if that is true, but maybe. Do YOU know? Tee-Hee!
