OT: is it still a man's world?

Actually I'm in Maryland, just outside Annapolis. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Pasadena, Maryland.
So....the tan is mostly fake! lol! The blonde hair isn't, although it's getting darker as I get older.
I don't know if they stereotype me or not I just get the feeling the lack of respect is there at times. It sounds silly but dark-haired males are the "in" thing right now. We once made a demo video for some specialized scientific equipment we used where I work and I was chosen to be in it. Some strange comments were made......mostly by male co-workers. Anyway, I know my experiences could never compare to what most women experience almost daily.
