OT/Gift ideas

Hi,
My sister who has been an accountant for a number of years decided to go back to school for a nursing degree. This has been no easy task considering she has children and considering that nursing is a complete 180 switch from what she was doing. She will be graduating in June and I am wondering what would be a good gift. Should I get her something for her new job? If so, what. I am not a nurse and have no idea of what she might need or find useful. Perhaps I should get her something else not related to work, but once again I am stuck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I come from a family of nurses and doctors. The one thing that they all complain about is sore feet and muscles from having to run around all day. A great gift may be to get a GC for a spa around you and offer to watch the kids for her. Another idea is a foot spa. Anything that will help her relax after being on her feet all day and taking care of her children!

Speaking from a nurses point of view, and depending where she will be working:

gift card to a uniform shop

subscription to nursing magazine (is she going to be rn or lpn? I have websites for my faves if you need)

as the person above replied: any sort of foot spa type gift, although she won't immediately realize how much she'll need this
;-)

there are lots of cute nursing pins/shirts/socks etc...in some of the uniform shops.

even just a card to say congrats!!!

good luck!
