Well, even though I didn't watch the Oscars, I appreciated that Matthew M. Acknowledged God in his speech since Hollywood (and even America) seems so anti-God these days. (I watched his speech on you tube). I also appreciated that he got up there prepared. He had enough respect for the honor and the audience to not blather on aimlessly, but put some thought into it.
