I have nothing against Banderas, but I was really upset that Carlos Gallardo didn't reprise the role. To me he is such a hottie! Those eyes, that hair, the lips...wrap him up, I'll take a dozen.}(

You might want to try "Nick of Time". That one was pretty intense. Christopher Walkens and his sidekick (some chick who is having a really, I mean REALLY bad hair day) snatches Depp's six year old daughter at the train station, slaps a gun in his hand and tells him he has 90 minutes to kill the governor, who is having a rally at a near by hotel, or they will kill his daughter. I loved this one. No hunkiness at all going on anywhere, but it was still a great movie.

Johnny!!!!!!!!!!!

Dead Man (black and white JD!)
Benny and Joon
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?
From Hell
The Astronaut’s Wife (really dumb, imho)
Nick of Time (again, dumb, imho)
Donnie Brasco
Ed Wood
Edward Scissorhands
Pirates of the Caribbean
Chocolat
Blow
Cry Baby (ooh, young JD!)
Nightmare on Elm Street
Sleepy Hollow
Don Juan DeMarco (masked JD!)
Ninth Gate
Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas
Arizona Dream
Platoon (a very small role, but he’s in it!)
Once Upon A Time In Mexico
Before Night Falls (again, small role)
Private Resort (super young JD!)

Some of them are good, some of them are bad, but because of JD, none of them are ugly! And let us not forget 21 Jump…Street!

And that’s only JD! There are lists of Bill and Jude too. Ah, so many movies, so little time.

Jules, care to jump in here?

I went with my 7 yr. old son to see Pirates of the Caribbean. I cannot imagine any other actor besides Johnny Depp playing Captain Jack Sparrow! What a great movie! He was awesome!!!

I cannot wait to see him play Willy Wonka in the new remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!!

Just wanted to say, I LOVED "In America". It is an EXCELLENT movie!!

See my other post about Johnny down below! :)

OMG! He's playing Willy Wonka!!! What a great choice as I don't think any other actor could take Gene Wilder's place!

Dani:

I can't believe you took your 7 yr old! Did he not get frightened out of his wits by the half dead faces? There's no way I'm letting my kids see this one til they're teens!

Re: Johnny with bored out eye sockets and hotness rating. I agree: I think you might be just the teensiest bit weird, in a good way, of course!!!!!!!!

Grossed me out!

Really? Are you kidding? Yep! He really wanted to see it and LOVED it. He's always been intrigued by pirates. He LOVES "The Goonies". He knew the ghost part was fake. He knows it's just a movie. He wants the DVD. :) He wasn't scared at all. I asked him if he thought the ghosts were scary and he laughed at me. :p

I actually thought the movie was very cute. I wasn't going to see it but he kept asking me to take him and I was glad I did. How cute!

We went to see the play "Christmas Carol", downtown Chicago this past Christmas, and he got a little startled at this one but not Pirates of the Carribean.

I think what startled him about Christmas Carol was, that there were some parts where it got really loud.

LOL! Well, his character was such a sleeze bucket that when it came time to put up or shut up, he actually put up...after having his eyes removed! I'm sure they didn't give him any pain killer so I was impressed.

Dani!

Isn't "The Goonies" great? We love that movie. Haven't watched it for a few years. Isn't Sean Astin in it? (He plays Sam in Lord of the Rings.) My kids used to watch that movie over and over when they were very young. BTW, sorry I missed you again today. I'll try again soon.

Hi Debbie!

So sorry I missed you!! Yes, we love "The Goonies"!!! Sean Astin was also in that movie "Rudy". He was sooooo good in that one too. Have you seen it? It's a true story and made my cry...happy tears. :)

RE: Dani!

Yes, loved him in "Rudy" too! Very emotional. Great movie!

I loved Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands! While he is not supposed to be super sexy in this movie, his performance is wonderful. He is adorable. I would highly recommend this movie, just my personal opinion. Pirates was awesome, he definitely made the movie I thought!
