For me, I saw strength gains by using Push/Pull's Upper Body 3x's premix. I would do this in a pyramid fashion. For example, with this premix, you do three sets of bench presses. I would use 30# for the first set, 25# for the second, and 20# for the third set. But that is upper body only.
As for total body, I think Muscle Max is your best bet.
