One More mat question

SO I finally have my puzzle mats! I have put them over ceramic tile. Is this thin layer of matting enough to protect my knees though? Shouldn't I put a carpet remnant over it or something?

I know I'll need something non-skip underneath, but what about on top?

Thanks for you opinions, educated crown!

Hi,

I have mine on concrete floor. I found when I had a carpet underneath it was to cushy and it would slip. I do put a yoga mat down for certain moves so my feet or hands do not slip. Sense I've been using the puzzle mats my knees are much better.
Good luck,

Elaine

Thanks Elaine -

So I won't need a carpet on top of the mats either? I do plan on putting those sticky mats underneath, the kind that keep regular carpets from slipping.

Best,

I use my mats on ceramic tile (smooth side down) - I don't have anything either below or on top of them and they work fine for me. I haven't had a shin splint since.
