Hi Rosepetals - so sorry to hear your symptoms flared. At least you got in a workout of some kind, and I personally find errands and chores more fatiguing than just concentrating on a single workout, so take heart. I've just been reading about T-Tapp at another fitness blog I frequent, and she gave it good solid reviews for efficacy and the fact that it is something that all levels of fitness can benefit from.
I know what you mean with feeling fine, getting stuff done, and then being hit with symptoms. I was super gung-ho yesterday, and managed the weights, but two minutes into my walk I started noticing more problems with my legs, and by the time I got home from around the block, my left leg wasn't working great at all. So my enthusiasm far exceeded my actual physical ability, which is a bit of a slap in the face, since most people are dealing with just finding the motivation to workout!
I think the one good thing about being dealt challenges like an injury or a chronic illness like MS is that you begin to really appreciate your body when it IS working right, and my motivation to workout isn't based on weight loss or other aesthetic reasons now - it's to be healthy and most of all just to feel the joy of movement. My cousin's partner has MS and she and I chatted a lot recently about having to constantly re-evaluate your expectations of your life, and learning to adapt. When symptoms flare or you have a full blown relapse, it's scary and frustrating, but you will get through it. You might not be the same as you were before, but you adapt and focus on doing the best you can with the new situation.
Gah - I sound like a greeting card! The long and short of it is, keep trying, and know that every time you do workout, regardless of what that is in comparison to what you could do before, it is a triumph over your illness.
