Jane I so much know how u feel about parents. I hate seeing my dad become older. He had a blood clot that got ojmut of hand. Now they are talking amputation! I
Hiss foot s black. He is in WV I'm in SC I have one sister there and I hate to say it but she has no clue how to take care of herself let alone him. He drives she don't he drove everyday to go to her house..she has a. Boyfriend that lives with her he could take her to visit dad. They do now. UT its sad it got this bad. He must have been hurting along time.
My mom just past and hardly any of them came to se her bbut now all I see on fb is how they loved her and she was there best friend ..reallly I want to say LOL. I'm bitter in a way.shed cried over them many nights. When she was dying she looked at me and ask if she was a good mom.. it broke my heart she had in her heart a question of it. I know why thou. I'm glad you go see them u r a good daughte!
Good job on AT. Yesterday was a rest day for me. Today I'm not sure what ill be doing.. weight I know I need but have to add on a little cardio as well. LiC perhaps? I love that one.

It also sounds like you had a great relationship with your mom! I think that's awesome!

Cathy: I'm so sorry that you're in sharp pain today. HUGS to you. It sounds as though you're not meant to exercise right now. When schedules get "in the way", I look at it as divine providence trying to tell me something. I may not like the something, but figure it's better to try to go with the flow & not stress over it too much. Easier said than done, I know! I so admire your courage & your strength of will re: working out & maintaining your fitness level. You are a real trooper & a true source of inspiration to me!
Renee: I'm sorry to hear about your mother's passing & your dad's health problems. It's so hard when they're far away, isn't it? & it really hurts when your siblings don't pitch in & help like they should - even if it's emotional support! I figure after all my parents did for me - supporting me all those years, it's my turn to support them in any way I can. But, I am truly lucky - I have wonderful parents! Where in W.Va. is your dad? My parents live about 30 miles from Wheeling.
Caitlin: I'm sorry to hear that your foot is still not healing very fast! Ouch!
Well, so far, I have not seen any change in any of my hormonal symptoms, although they said it would be slow (unlike synthetic HRT). But, I'll keep you all posted!
Yesterday evening, I did Lower Body Blast. I have to admit, there were some sets I couldn't finish! What a butt & thigh burner! Tonight will be my rest night, since I have a graduation to attend.

Wow I have LBB and can't do it yet. I tried once but that was when feet was so bad. Good job for sure.
Cathe I sure hope u start feeling better soon as well.

I did kpc and legs n flutes ankle weight premix and added some leg presses. Had a ball. My foot was hurting some but Ithe jumps were not consyent so it was doable. I just hope the new workouts will be dooable ... Mann I can't wait. I am wondering will I EVER be able to do. A workout again without worried over my foot!
I cleaned a took a fear older friend to the store today.
Oh my dad lives In fayetteville right by the new River George bridge .. my hometown til I was 8.

Renee: Great job on KPC & Legs & Glutes! Glad it was some better on your feet. Baby steps, but you're getting there! Takes awhile to heal! I'll have to look on the map to see where Fayetteville is. For some reason, that sounds familiar.

It's going to be a super hot holiday weekend here - going to be in the 90's & it's always humid here. Our one granddaughter is going to be home from the Army for the weekend, so it will be good to see her.
Don't the new workouts look awesome? & 12 Premixes on Crossfire! How awesome is that???? Same disc, 12 different days!!! I'm doing the Happy Dance!!!:p:D

LOL. I KNOW you are excited to see your daughter! I just love seeing my children, it doesn't happen often enough For Me.

Oh yes the workouts are devine! I can't wait. When do you think they will start shipping them? I can't stand the excitement LOL.
Rest day for me. Yoga maybe I still am a little sore from legs yesterday so happy because like I said. My joint get sore first usually so I never get to have doms like when I was younger. Maybe that means my joints and bones are getting stronger? I hope!

I was out in the garden for about 2 1/2 hours this morning, so that's my workout for today!:)

Renee: Very glad your workout went well! YAY!

I haven't seen the updates on the new workouts yet but, they sound like they're going to kick some butt & have tons of premixes. 12 sounds great!

Renee: Good job on listening to your body & taking a rest day as needed. I think we all agree that we need to listen to our bodies! We pay too big a price when we don't.
Yesterday evening I did AfterBurn. I had to pause & take some big gulps of air & water a couple of times, & I went ultra light on the weights I used, but I made it! I started to overheat once & got dizzy, so I just plunked down on my step until I felt better. Having a hot flash while doing AfterBurn = :eek::eek::eek:

Jane great job on Afterburn I was planning on doing that one today. Not sure. My back is hurting today alittle stiff. Don't know if I should jog I have done that all week or Afterburn or bodymax 2. Or cardio fusion or a circuit. I have too days left this weren't and I need to do weight for my upper and lower to get the two weight workout. per week maatbe ill do cardio today n high reps total body tomorrow? ?? Gawd o get confused.. I need to stretch out back. Surly yoga did
Did not hurt it? Is it possible?

We were unable to get onto the internet all weekend at home - grrr... I can do a little surfing on my phone, but it's not easy!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was quiet - didn't go anywhere & or do anything. DH was still not feeling up to snuff. His dr. seems to think it was food poisoning.
I did a little dabbling with STS Meso Cycle 3 this weekend, just to see if I could do it after such a long break from it. I was pretty much able to lift the same weight as the first time through, except for bi's & tri's. I'm just not back to where I was before the tennis elbow, darn it. Oh, well, I'll get there.
Was excited to see that the other new video will have 13 premixes! Between 2 videos, we'll have 25 premixes! Wow!
Renee: How's the foot doing? How's your back? Yes, the yoga could have done it to your back - sometimes I've had my back go out just after taking a deep breath!
Cathy: How's everything with you? Are you sore after all that gardening????
I feel like I've been away for ages - have to play catch up & see what's in this week's newsletter!

Jane I don't think you missed much. I think everyone has been busy this week. I usually just read a lot on the thread and it has been quiet out there!
I did just read on the cathe upcoming workouts they now have the breakdown of to the Max DVD now. Premixes and all. They look great.I can't wait.
Well I did deadifts yesterday and painting more. So it is hard to tell. I have a rest day so I think I need it.
I did jogging on Sunday a.d push pull yesterday and used as heavy as I could. Its my lower Back. My feet need a rest to.

Renee: Step Blast is fun! Absolutely great on Push Pull & your jogging! I'm thinking your feet will thank you for a rest after all that!

Good morning, ladies,
I did STS Plyo Legs yesterday evening. I was amazed at what I was able to do versus the first time. HiiT/metabolic/muscle endurance training has really paid off! The first time, I couldn't even do the squat jumps where you twirl front to back - without any weight. I was able to do them this time - with weight! Even though I may not notice that I'm making progress, this definitely showed me that my legs are getting stronger!
This is encouraging to me because over the past year, I have had to start over more than once after extended periods of time off for different body parts. You gals have faced/are facing this, too. It's hard, & it sucks, (excuse my French...LOL), but we're Cathletes & we're made of stern stuff!!! We've learned to respect & listen to our bodies - when we need rest, we rest, when we can push it, we push it, when we need to go easy, we go easy! I'll get off my soapbox now, but I just wanted to thank you gals for being so supportive - when I needed that extra little push, I got it - when I needed empathy & sympathy & prayer, I got it! So, THANK YOU!
Cathy: I hope you were able to get some sleep. Are your pups restless because of the wolves? I hope your vet visit goes OK. We took Spunky up this morning for Xrays. They were checking her blood test for Lyme Disease (thanks for the tip!).
Renee: Sounds like you're keeping very busy! Does your back feel like it's muscle strain? How's your foot doing?

Jane, terrific on plyo legs! It's a great feeling when we surprise ourselves that all the hard work & sweat & gulping for air pays off! I'm so proud of you for doing the squat jumps!
I tried the new meds last night & actually had to double up on them so we'll see how it goes! Less pain today in my back:D

Jane: that is wondrful how you are getting stronger inthe legs. I have to admit i used to get stronger in legs first but since like you said the body parts slow you down it seems to be what i have problems with. I like working my upper for now, i mean i do legs but i hate it now. So Kudos to you! Im proud of you.

And i have not done any of her HIIT dvd yet. I was afraid to even try them so i never bought it. You are so right we will get threw this.

If we hurt we rest and we help each other and you both have been pushing me as well beleive it or not. I mean in a good way. I am so happy i am on here! And yeah i sure have had to stop my training in the middle of it several times in the last two years but .. the best part is WE R not giving up! Perserverance pays off!!

Oh why do you have to take you pet to get Xrays ?
Oh and i have been kind of busy but so impossible to clean my house like im soupse to. or i like to !!!. Cloths and STUFF i dont have a place for so they are at least folded. lol Hubby tore a wall down therefore, taking his Closet out and his office out all int the name of making the kitchen bigger. we have been out of commision to have a normal house because he had to stop and do military training. Then we have people asking for his help all the time. it is older ladies that cant get help like my neighbor she is 75 and my friend from church she is 67 and they are constintly needed something so it puts us back, and my sisters kids and her hubby asking for help on porch they had a whole in it and my DH went to fix whole only becasue they have young kids and he wants to keep them from getting hurt. However they NEVER help DH. I guess that is what We are to do, help people. I dont care to help the elderly but my sisters kids? Well they are LAZY so i think they should do it themsleves lol. So I been helping DH best i can, i worry for his health and get so upset he does not even try to get healthy. So irritating i love him so so much but i want him to stick around alonger time so we can retire together but he is looking bad to me, brakes my heart. He smokes still an he drink beer EVERYDAY! He has HBP and other complications that effect him and i as a couple. That is another story not meant for public forums lol. But i wish i had someone to talk to about it.

Cathy so glad you are having less pain!! That is great news! Give your pets a hug from me!! I love animals.

I am doing okay today I pushed myself today best i could i rested yesterday i needed it.My back is in the lower area yes i think it is strained is all. I did 4DS low intinsity step and all upper body today, i did fast forward on some of the tricceps because of doing all upper body was hard on my elbows so some of the bending over and tricep kick backs was not good on elbow lol

I took a rest day yesterday, because it was too late to work out after we got home from the vet.
It's a gorgeous day here today - the sun is out - it's not too hot or muggy - perfect!!! Went to the chiropractor this morning & didn't want to come back to work - wanted to stay out & play hooky!!! When she worked on my tricep tendon today, it barely even hurt! What a difference from the first time she worked on it - I thought I was going to throw up from the pain!!!
Cathy: What great news - that you're having less pain!!!! YAY!!!! I hope that continues to be the case! Hope everything went well with your trip to the vet. Spunky's x-rays showed arthritis, & she tested negative for Lyme Disease, so that's good news. So, after $333, we got more pain pills...
Renee: Don't you just love 4DS low intensity step - I love 4DS. Good on ya for skipping some tricep work since it was bothering your elbow. I wish I had listened to my body re: the elbow last year! I can understand your frustration re: your house - that would drive me nuts, too! & it is nice that your DH wants to help, but it sounds a bit like family is "using" him. I face the same frustration with my DH - even through his bout with food poisoning (if that's really what it was - hasn't been confirmed by dr's tests yet), he was guzzling soda & eating Oreos! AARGH!!! He gets upset with me when I try to eat healthier - long story... But, I can understand why you're concerned about the smoking & drinking - that's not good & it's not good for you to be around the 2nd hand smoke, either. I asked my DH once if he was trying to commit slow suicide, but that didn't phase him. Maybe that was the wrong approach...but I was so frustrated, so my heart goes out to you!!!

Good Evening ladies I did Kickboxing and legs from 4ds. I did weight first premix. Eww..made my knee to stiff to get into the kixkbubut I gave it a shot.

Good afternoon, ladies!
Yesterday evening I did Cardio Supersets & Step Premix. That was a really great workout! I'm trying to decide between Slide & Glide or a leg workout for this evening. I guess I'll wait & see what I feel like once I get home from work. Who knows, I might decide on Yoga Relax instead! LOL I'm so glad it's Friday. Even though it was a short week because of the holiday, it FELT long! LOL:rolleyes:
Renee: Great job on the workout! It's hard to know which to do first, isn't it - weights or cardio. But, you gave it your best shot, so that's what's important! DH is still having trouble, but all his tests came back negative. His Dr. said to finish the round of antibiotics & to avoid milk (he'd been eating a bowl of cereal every morning for breakfast - even though I told him milk was on the do not eat list... sigh). As far as working out goes, I have to take advantage & work out hard when I feel good, because with fibromyalgia, I never know when I'm going to wake up & feel like a Mack truck ran over me!:confused:
Cathy: Hope your weather has cleared up a bit - I know that helps with your pain levels a bit! We've got the rainy/stormy weather now, & I can definitely tell a difference in my pain level. More aspirin...:(
