**One Day at a Time** June 4 - July 8

Good afternoon ladies,
Cathy: Wow! That's a lot of work in the garden. No wonder it didn't help your back or hip!!! You had to have been doing a lot of bending over. Ouch!
Renee: It sounds like you've hit on a good idea regarding recouping. I had no idea that Cher put out an exercise video!
Saturday, I cleaned the house, & Sunday, I did 2 of the abs workouts from Ab Circuits (STS), Yoga & Medicine Ball, then I did Stretch Max Stability Ball. That felt awesome! My hip doesn't feel any better, though. I may end up having to get a series of epidurals. :confused: I had to get them a few years ago. I hate to do that, but if it gets any worse, I don't think I'll have a choice.:( I go back to the chiropractor on Thursday. One more visit, then my insurance coverage runs out - until 2013. :( I can't believe they only allow 10 visits per year, but I guess it's better than nothing.
Started out by being rainy here this morning, but the sun is out now. If you don't like the weather here, wait 5 minutes... LOL!

Saturday was downpour raining from about 5 a.m till about 9-10 a.m.! We went to see the new GD in the late afternoon!
Sunday DD & SIL were out & we spent time with them & they came out to work in the garden(which was about 75 min)
Today was chiropractor & it's a rainy drizzly type of day!
I just started to read a new book by Julie Daniluk: Meals That Heal Inflammation:) So far it's making sense & is very interesting! She's the co-host of OWN's Healthy Gourmet!
And my weight is up slightly again:mad:

Jane: Is the pain in your hip in the muscle or in the joint or is it nerve pain? Just take it easy on the hip & as far as the rotation we can re-start in Aug.;) Do you have any option other then the epidurals? Do you know what triggered it? (Sorry too many questions)

Renee: Great on your workouts! Your learning why I was doing Kelly & Core Fusion & others in between Cathe's workouts! You do what you feel best for you, so you can keep going! Hopefully by not being stressed over it the weight should start to come off!
I forgot to add that I've been using a 4" step since my hip has been very(sometimes extremely) painful & that was 2 yrs. ago now! You can still get a excellent workout with a 4" step! Just make it work any way you can!!

Caitlin: Really hope you are doing well & everything is going much better!

Cathy it spunds so nice to have a garden. All we can do is tomatoes lol. We try every year. All we have is sand so very hard to grow anything I keep trying and we used potting soul and miricle grow so far we r doing ok on tomatoes. How was ur doc apt? Is it helping?

I did kathy smih day after cher and it was 45 minutes plus some upper body. Yesterday I did LIS 4DS she is so fun. I did it fine wasn't to bad because no jumping. So today is rest day and tomorrow supose tp b a HIIT but I don't have that one. I may do a LiS like CSS for 30 minutes then upper body MM and see how that goes. Man its strange I'm in better shape cardio wise then I ws in 20's and now my bones are weak. Kinda sad in a way lol. My mind and lungs raring to work work and bones are screaming lol. Oh well ...we do what we can and keep going. I have chiropractic apt yoday as well. This is 3 rd visit.

Renee: Great on your 4DS LIS yesterday:D I'm so with you on the better than in 20's & don't have the back/feet for the workouts now! It would be really nice to get our bodies in sync;)

Good morning ladies,
I did more stretching yesterday evening. I don't think I could do much else at this point - by the time I get home from work, the pain from sitting most of the day has worn me out. To answer your question, Cathy, this feels like the pain I had before from the herniated disc. It's a constant, dull ache. I don't remember doing anything that triggered it. It seemed to keep getting worse daily until it really got my attention. Your new book sounds interesting. Let me know what you think. I'll go look it up on Amazon.com
Cute, Renee, about being better cardio wise, but the bones, oh the bones!!!! :p Loved seeing your family pictures on FB - great-looking family - all of them!!!
Hope everyone's chiropractor appointments are helping - I can't wait for mine on Thursday! I keep praying I'll get some relief. Meanwhile, keep up the good work, gals! I'll be back at it soon, I hope!;)

Thanks Jane about my family pics. I hate you feel like itts a herniated disk. I can't say I know whhat mone. May be. My next apt is Thursday also.lol my doc has stuf to dofor a few days and wont be back for a couple days.

Cathy y were. U up 6 hours? Ddaang wee should be called broke back insomniacs lol. I had headache all day sun and sat.. sun night I slept. Maybe 2 hours and had to go to work.
Okay I rested yesterday. Today I'm. Gonna try to do HS circuit it looks easy. I just got it yesterday. Iit was funny I ordered Thursday the high steer. Welll me and. Dh was sitting outside after. Workk. UPs pulled in like they gooing to neighbors he looked at me said huh u. Order something again? I said noooo not that I .... then truuckk baccked in r yard lol I finished mmy sentence with know of ..this week.
He then was like u tried to get out of that one. Lol
Well I wasn't lying I didn't order anything that was supose to be here this week..it was supposed to be here next week. Hhe. Just laaughed at Me tryinng to llie a little

Cathy, I'm sorry you were up most of the night. We are a group, aren't we? :eek: You're smart not to try to do anything. Yes, it would be nice to have bodies like "normal" people... LOL
 
Just saw the video clip of Cross Fire. I can't wait!!!! OK body, hurry up & heal!!!!! :p & they'll be in stock next week? Oh, my! I'll be on vacation beginning the 28th, but that's OK. It will be there when I get home!!!! YAY!

Chiropractic today..I hope it helps. I did 30 min Afterburn yesterday forgot about all those planks climbers. Not good for back. 1-10 express premix. Tri upper body. I finaly have DOMS I rarly ever get that!
Hope all is well. Not sure what I'm doing today it may have to b rest day. Hum
 
Hi everyone,
Went to the chiropractor today, too. I'm really sore. Unfortunately, she's going out of state on vacation until July 23rd!!! So, until then, I'll be limping along the best I can. During my vacation (beginning the 28th of June), I'll be at my parents, & I have a chiropractor back there, too, so I'll go there next week! :p
Watched the new clips - these workouts look seriously tough! :eek: But, I can't wait to get them anyway!!! LOL
Cathy: Hope you're not overdoing with the gardening!
Renee: Sorry that your computer is down so you can't see the clips. They look tough, but fun. Imagine AfterBurn & Athletic Training on steroids. LOL Great job on the workout & on the DOMS! ;)

I finally seen it" wow wow wow. Man I hope ill b able to do them now. I hope 'Carhe does a steady state step again like step blast I can do. Kinda bring my heart up with music like she has in to the max! Love the music. I just don't know if I can do the jumps. So let me know how u guys r gonna modify if u have to as well.
I feel like kathy smith and cher is to easy grwat for days I don't feel like doing anything. I like step blast or low impact circuit for days I want a little more heart rate up. But I'm wondering if to the max will be to much. I hope the premix will work.
I'm resting my back n foot tonight.

Yesterday we went to town, exercised the dogs in the morning & evening & I was able to spend an hour in the garden! It felt great to be busy & active!
I playing with my diet again trying some anti-inflammatory foods & see what happens!

Jane: I'm sorry your hip is still hurting you! Sometimes a person just wants to scream when you think you're finally doing great & then there's something else! I guess we wouldn't be having these trials if we couldn't carry them! WE ARE STRONG, ALL OF US & WE'LL GET THROUGH THIS!

Renee: What I said above is for you too! I'm sorry your back & foot are still hurting, please be careful with your back! Afterburn was the workout that sent me to the doctor back in Dec. I haven't done it since as it was very hard on my back! I'm going to try again but will really have to modify!

I may not be online on the weekend as it's looking very busy but, I'll try! This forum is a tad additive;)

Hi cathy.. yes it is addictive lol. Can u share some anti inflammatory info with me? Like what to rwad? I just hate doing anything food wise I can't pronounce lol or hard to find. R u finding all the foods?
Jane I hope u r better today! .

I do not know what to do today. Need to burn serious calories. U know my mirror at home I look ok in. I went to kohls today and go past there mirror and I see every dimple. My face looked washed out I looked bigger I didn't know who that was! I got home and well my mirrors are mot as scary. Wtheck! ? I don't like those mirrors its not the ones in dressing room either ..I'm not buying any clothes for me til I lose my big belly. It was the mirrors strategicaly placed threw out the store.
Tomorrow is cookout. Having hotdogs hamburger. Playing volleyball..corn whole.. horseshoe and badminton..and playing good old radio or cds outside. I hope I'm not stuck inside cleaning up all day. Paper plates we have so I shouldnt b.

Cathy: Sounds like you're feeling a bit better! Yay! Maybe the anti-inflammatory diet is helping already??? I looked at books at Amazon.com, but it's hard to know which one to get - they all sound like theirs is the right diet, that theirs is different, they all have great credentials, etc., etc. I get the impression it's mainly a Paleo-type diet, but avoiding nightshades.
Renee: I know what you mean about the mirrors! Isn't that really odd? I've noticed it, too, so I don't think we're both imagining it. We have a cookout to go to tomorrow night, too. I hope there's SOME kind of healthy food there!
Caitlin: Hope things are going well with you!
It has been an absolutely horrible day here at work, so I'm going to do some Yoga when I get home & try to relax & unwind so that I don't take it out on my poor hubby. I do feel a bit better today - that last chiro adjustment has made a big difference (after I got over being sore!).

Not suure what's wrong with me. Up all night crying thinking something is serous wrong with me. Scared. Booooth feet hurting all night on the top and ware the foot bends! Its eiitther my. Hip (llower back) hurting or. My foot now both feet? I am going to doctor wed
I hope. I am just afraid to hear what They are. Gooing to say. No exercise yesterday or today needles too Say. I was up watching the clock tic.. gawd I hope? I don't hurt. Tonight. I'm hoping "I have a pinched nerve. Because the other Thoughts or possible reason has kept my stomach in knots.
 
Renee: I'm SO sorry to hear your news! I can understand your fears - I'm sorry you were up all night worrying. I'm glad that you're getting into a dr. relatively quickly. Hopefully, he/she can reassure you about what it is or isn't. Unfortunately, worry won't change anything one iota. TRY to think of other things - I know it's incredibly hard while you're in so much pain. Know that we're sending good vibes your way & praying hard!!! HUGS!!!

Went to chiropraactor this morning & got back a while ago!
Sat. we went to an auction sale & then a wedding/reception later in the day!
Yesterday was 2 1/2to 3 hrs. in the garden!

Renee: Both of my feet hurt where yours does, my right one is worse! I also get the needle & numbing & sometimes it feels like bugs crawling on my arms & hands & legs! When I look there are no bugs!

Jane: Schucks, I thought that was what DH's were for! I vent on him! Great the chiropractor is finally helping! Sometimes it takes a while though!
As far as nightshades are concerned, I can't eat tomatoes from the stores anymore but, I can eat the heritage tomatoes we grow in the garden! So there is something going on! I now only plant/grow heritage varieties of vegetables in the garden! How's your hip doing? Jane take care of yourself & BIG HUGS

Thanks to Both of you. I am hoping that's it. It fellt like it was brok oor everytime I stretched felt like a hammer smasheed it. If I was laying down it Was throbbing. Today it feelss fine. My back still feels ouut of sorts. My foot with PF feels soore still like it hass. Bbeen for months but the right foot feels normal. Its crazy. I jave always been active no matter how big I was or little so this is irritating. I'm nott doing a work out unless iits strettching or wallking. Until I can get to doc. I need ur prayers for my sccaredness. You know that can cripple a person ! Worry or beiing sscared Is Worse then anything. It makes me feel I'm losing mmy mins as well.
