Hello !
Congrats on intensity! Jane ..That was the last workout i tried of Cathes since my foot was hurt. It was right after doing that workout... It was HARD! I had just got it in the mail to. So sorry to hear about your back!! I am hoping it is a muscle and not a disk!

How's the foot after my Jog?LOL Well It was killing me for a few hours after, i keep stretching and icing it. Today it seems alot better, I still feel a pulling feeling from the back of the heel to the ball of the foot! confused on that one.
I am thinking it is getting better because at least i can stand on it.. and im not limping. I did not do any jogging today or a workout.. I am going to do sit ups before bed. I planted tomatoes in the garden, i did tons of laundry, I mowed the grass, I sweept the floors changed bed sheets. And I think i am going to read this evening. I still get tired to easy, not like me at all! I am going to take a multi vitimin soon everyday to see if that helps.. i take calcium and fish oil so i think i need to add the vitimin.

Cathy: we have not seen you on here, I hope you are doing well! Hope your back is doing ok.

Oh yes Jane almost forgot! Kick Max was another one i ordered i have not got to do yet! please tell me how you like it when you get it.. I have it but again it is one i got and then i was hurt. I bought like five dvds and was so excited to get them and couldnt do it. I may try to do something tomorrow. I will see how i feel..

We are still working on Kitchen. Hubby has to go to AT for two weeks so it will be even longer to get Kitchen done. My house is such a mess.. I wont rush him though he works so hard and he joined the NG just so he can get his retirement to take care of me! So I cant make it harder on him. I thought he was too old to go in. He is 10 years older then me.. I dont think he is old but, military standards he is.. shoot when i joined i was 38 doing basic training 4 years ago and they called me old he is 52 lol. He said his Unit calls him Father time!! how mean! they are playing i know..

No workout yesterday & no workout today! DD & SIL coming out today & no workout tomorrow either!:( Hopefully Tues. can get back into the workouts!

Renee: Back to a previous post of yours about circuits! The amount of weight to lift is up to you! I was using the circuit workouts more like the old FIRM aero-tone workouts:) You can use circuits as heavy or as light as you want, it's entirely up to you!
I'm happy your foot is starting to ease up & feeling better:)

Jane: Great on Intensity:) but OH NO:( that's the hard way of getting out of housework! I love Kick Max but, I think I love KPC just a little bit more! We'll just go slow this week & see how things go!

Hi ladies! It's COLD here today! But, from what I hear, the East Coast is getting slammed with snow, so I'm not complaining!
No workout yesterday, although I did manage to clean the house a bit. The back is feeling much better today, so I may not even go to the chiropractor - just give it a couple more days of rest.
Renee: Yeah, I thought the service didn't take anyone over 35. Guess that's a misconception! I think that's awesome of your hubby to do that for you guys. My DH is 12 years older than I am. He's been retired for a year. I feel bad, because he always wanted to travel, but by the time I can retire, well... he says I can push him around in a wheel chair... LOL I'm hoping that your foot continues to feel better - sounds like you were able to accomplish quite a bit! Did you find the Cosamin ASU at the drugstore? I'll never take another glucosamine product again. I had been taking a different kind for a long time, & it didn't help my knees at all. Then, within a couple of weeks, my knees quit hurting! It was awesome! I hope it helps you as well!
Cathy: Sounds like we're both "off" our workouts to start off the week...:( But, at least the visit with DD & SIL is a good reason to miss! Enjoy them!

K check in. I did basic step today with upper body ...it was basic but I still was hurt some.. not to bad so I kept going. I think that is the one I will try all week but alternative upper with lower body. No I havbt had time to do drug store. But I will. Ill be back tomorrow to get more personal stuff. Night ladies!

I've got an appointment with my chiropractor this afternoon. My back is some better, but I've also got an achy neck going on, so I figured I might as well do this! I'd like to get back to working out sooner rather than later! ;)
Wasn't that an awesome picture of Amanda on Facebook? Someone had mentioned here on the forums that she was pregnant, but then I hadn't heard any more, so I wasn't sure if she was or not. So, I wonder if she'll be in the new workouts?
Cathy: I hope you're feeling OK today!
Renee: I hope your workout didn't stress your foot too much. Can you get another shot soon?
I'm saving up my pennies for the new Who's Boss t-shirt! :eek:;):p

Yesterday was the MRI & today, within 5 min. of walking around this morning my lower back started swelling, so maybe no workout today either:(

Amanda sure does look, I think absolutely spectacular!

LOL My DH is also older than myself! I was a little surprised when all 3 of us have older DHs

Jane: Good luck with the chiropractor & hopefully nothing too major! I'm also eyeing the new T-shirt:cool::)

Renee: Happy the basic step went well for you & maybe the shot is finally starting to work to ease up on the pain!:D How long in between shots?

Catherine it is funny we all have older DH. Thing of it is mine was saying he was old in his 30 I told him he was not old but he seems to think it even then. I was 23 he was 33. LOL. He wasn't old he just thought he was I don't know.
Man please keep us informed :eek:f ur back MRI. I hope it is okay.

I did good with basic step I guess. As long as a burn at least300 calories for now. Today I'm so frustrated because my foot feels like it is burning now. They diddnt say when to go back for shot just have physical theropy to go to. But what is that gonna do? I stretch it already. More money to spend I guess.

No workout for me yesterday evening. I may only try for stretching this evening, as my lower back is pretty sore today. The chiropractor stretched me out & says that I jammed my sacrum (probably doing air jacks & tuck jumps...), so I'm going to have to start modifying high impact moves from now on.
Cathy: How's your back today? Do you ice your back when it swells? That must really be painful! The swelling causes all those nerves to really scream in protest!!
Renee: Are you going to try the physical therapy? You must be getting pretty frustrated!!!
It is interesting that our husbands are all older... Are your husbands quite handy around the house, too? My husband was a maintenance man at the condo complex where I work. Renee, obviously your hubby must be, since he's redoing your kitchen! & it sounds like yours is, too, Cathy. ;)

No workout again today, between family & the back, things are getting nowhere fast:(
Maybe tomorrow! Hubby is handy around the house as well & when you do things yourself you can make changes without upsetting a contractor:)

Jane I don't ice my back, as when it starts to warm up it's actually more painful!

No workout for me yesterday evening, either. :( I received Kick Max in the mail yesterday, & I'm dying to try it! Maybe this weekend...
Just got back from the chiropractor & I feel much better after this go-round with her. What a relief! She got rid of the headache I'd had for a couple of days, too!
Hope you guys are feeling better today! & Cathy, at least we're all missing our workouts together! Not that that's much consolation...:confused:

Jane hope u r getting better now! I think tuck jumps SUCK LOL. Just kidding.. yes I'm scedual pt. For may9 I am frustrated. I can't afford all doc billls and go find gym to.
I mean I was thinking of getting a spin bike or go to a gym. But things r happening all at once. Sons truck broke down...my dog. Needs vet... my kitchen is getting work done.. plus all my doctor bills. I know DH wont agree to another piece of equipment or a gym. An expence he can't see additional to all we have now. That's not counting all other bills LOL. So I am going to see if PT WILL HELP. I don't see what they will do different. I know I don't want another shot if it isn't gonna help. I could take the pain if it works. You know what I mean?.

Cathy I know what u mean about laughing or putting a smile on ur face with my post. LOL DH shows me the text I send him at times it looks like a different language. I hope u get better soon.

DD went home last night!

Renee: How is your foot? It's strange about the burning though! Do you have Pyramid Upper Body? If I remember right it should be easier on your foot & you could sit for a couple of the exercises!

We couldn't have planned it better as far as missing workouts!;)

Good afternoon ladies,
No workout again yesterday evening. I'm really getting bored with this resting crap!!!:confused: I'm going to do SOMEthing tonight! & most likely it will be my new one - Kick Max. Probably will select a short premix, though!
Cathy: I'm sorry to hear about the swelling continuing. That must be horribly painful! I hope things eased up for your DD. It's always hard when your child is hurting! I think I'll try circuits one day next week, then if the light weights don't hurt me, I'll try the weights the next day, since I don't know what my body will be able to take yet. I'm pretty sore today from where she worked on me yesterday.:(
Renee: I know what you mean about everything hitting at once. It always seems to snowball! & yes, I understand about being able to take the pain if you know it's at least improving a bit! When there's no relief in sight, it zaps you big-time, physically & mentally! I'd like a spin bike, too, but I have nowhere to put it, & my DH would not appreciate yet another piece of equipment... We've given away a treadmill & a recumbent bicycle, a weight training system that used rods...:rolleyes:

Cathy I hope ur back gets better soon. It is strange the burning. But today I joggy again. LOL. I call it wog cuz I walked and jog. I don't feel like my foot hurts as bad. Maybe the burning was meaning it is getting better? Hmm. Kepping my finger crossed.
 
Jane please tell me how u like kickmax.. how does it compare to KPC in terms of fun and Bert rate calorie burn? I sure hope u r feeling better too.
 
So, I'm definitely doing something tonight - I know, sounds familiar, right? I felt so bad by the time I got home Friday, I couldn't work out. On Saturday & Sunday, I had the kind of headache where I could feel every single heart beat - in my neck. Nothing I threw at it helped, including ice! It had to be the chiro adjustment! When I went this morning, I told her "Put me back the way I was!!!!" So, I'm not in as much pain, but the throbbing is still there! :mad: She didn't adjust my low back at all, & my elbow hurts!!!:mad:
Renee: I'm going to try Kick Max this evening (I HOPE!!!). I only have the Timesaver version of KPC, so I don't know how much of a comparison I'll be able to give you. I'm pretty sure that Cathy told me she likes KPC better. How are you feeling? The foot any better at all???? How was your weekend?
Cathy: How was your weekend? Were you able to fit any workouts in? I hope "things" have stabilized a bit for you!
Sorry for all the moaning - but I am beginning to think I was better off BEFORE I went to the chiropractor! :( I have another visit scheduled for Thursday, but I don't know if I'll do any more! :confused:

Cathy yes! I'm happy to say I jogged Saturday. It hurt some but nothing like it was. I felt so good I did 4.5 Miles! The next day I worked In the yard. Not much for that kind of stuff but trunk to keep busy so I don't eat .. I gained 4 pounds! Today I'm at work but my foot is a little burning feeling. That's confusion to me. But I'm not hurting. If that makes since. Im gonna try to do kicknax or kCP tonight not sure which. I hope I can do it. Not sure of jumping yet .... have good evening ladies!

OK - I DID it!!! KickMax, that is! I modified the high impact stuff, & I didn't do the leg conditioning drills, but I did it!!! I plan on doing the leg conditioning drills tonight, or PLB. Those drills look just as tough as TurboBarre!!!:confused:
Renee: I'm glad to hear that you're not in as much pain! That's great! I hope it continues! Don't feel too bad about gaining 4 pounds - it will melt off, I'm sure, as soon as you can get back to normal in your workouts! I was horrified to step on the scales this morning to see that I've gained 8 pounds!!!
Cathy: I hope you're feeling better today - was the chiropractor able to help you with the "extras"?
We're in for a rainy week here, but it's warm - supposed to get up to 80 today. The adjustment my chiropractor did yesterday on my neck did the trick - the migraine is finally gone! Whew! It was a crappy way to spend a weekend, I know that!:(
Cathe has added yet another t-shirt - it looks cute, too! The set for her new DVDs looks really nice - it will feel like we're outdoors! Getting excited for them!!!
