I won first place in two categories of The Everyman photo contest. I've placed several time before, but have never won two categories at the same time.

Look under the macro/abstract and black and white categories.

I agree- those photos are spectacular. I really like the sweeping perspective of the sky in the rock photo, but love the contrast and intimacy in the mushrooms photo.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I was just so shocked to win two categories. Wish I could do photography for a living like my boyfriend, but it's hard to do. Photography does give me an excuse to travel. I am preparing for a long birthday/photography trip in February with the BF, going to Colorado, Reno, Death Valley, and Las Vegas.

I guess this little win might give me an excuse to spend a little money on a new camera (ha ha).....
