Oldfirmie...new cathe

YOWZER!!!

Hi everyone. I have been a firm user for about 17 years, starting with The Firm Volume 1. Of course I added volume 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and a few others over those years, of which the most recent buy was BSS 2. It was okay, not as good or as challenging as the classic firms.

So there began my quest for a new challenge...and I found Cathe. I initiially began viewing clips right here on cathe dot com. Then I viewed user reviews on collage video and the firm ya-yas.

I came back to cathe dot com and perused the use forums for about a week. I then placed my first order: Imax, Imax2, Ab Hits, BodyMax, MIC and MIS.

I plunged into Ab Hits right away...it tears apart the firms 5 day abs, and I thought I was in shape!!!! Those planks are killer.

I ordered the club step and a barbell, and while I waited for delivery, I watched IMAX2 over and over and over. When the club step arrived, I tacked on IMAX2 after my regular firm workout.

I did the warmup for a few days until I got it down pat, then added Interval one and two.

Today I decided to go for it...all I can say is YOWZER!!!! I made it through, but plan to spend a day learning the intervals one by one.

It was a great workout and I can't wait to learn all the new moves!

I'm hooked!!!

Happy to be here...

Hi Oldfirmie! I'm another convert and like you, when you start doing Cathe's workouts you get hooked - fast and permanently! I started with the Firm back in 1986 when there was just one and bought every vid after that. The Firm literally transformed my body and fitness level but I kept hearing about Cathe on the Firm posts. I bought my first Cathe vids about 1 1/2 years ago and have never looked back. I still do a Firm occasionally to shake things up a bit but I have definitely converted to Cathe. I just ordered 12 more vids (I still haven't converted to DVD yet!) and got the super step that she uses in many of her workouts. It just keeps getting better and better.....

Hey there Deb, nice to meet another convert.

I tried Imax2 again today. I haven't converted to DVD yet either, as I have set up a pretty functional workout space in the basement and the TV down there is beyond old and not able to be hooked up to a DVD player. So for now it will have to do.

I kept rewinding the tape when I came to an interval that had a hard learning curve. I must admit I was not able to figure out a few of the intervals....I was always facing the wrong way, or leading with the wrong foot or just staring at the TV and thinking how come I can't figure this out.

After five or six rewinds I gave up and hopefully in time I can figure out those pesky intervals.x(

Does anyone have any other hints as to how to break down an interval?

Also, does anyone here use a laptop computer to play DVD workouts?

Yours in fitness,

oldfirmie
