Old poster returning...pregnant!

Steppingup

Cathlete
Hi everyone,

I used to post fairly often on the Cathe forum but stuff gets in the way, as you all know, and I basically just read the forum these days.
Anyway, I would like to join all the pregnant ladies, if I may!

Let me give you some background info to reintroduce myself. I am 10 weeks pregnant with my second. I have a five-year-old son. As last time, I have been very sick but things seem to be somewhat better. Now I am battling sinus problems. I am 34 and am sooooooooooooooo tired all the time. Seems like much more tired than the first time. I work parttime at home doing medical transciption and I homeschool my son. Busy you say? No more so than you other mothers but I do feel overwhelmed at times.

I had an ultrasound at about 7 or 8 weeks and heard the heartbeat. So far, so good. I can't wait to make it past the first trimester so I can relax a little. I always worry...too much!

I hope to be able to post more often. My workouts have been pretty much nonexistant but I hope to start walking some soon.

Congratulations!

I used to post on the forum quite often, too. Then I got busy with 2 small children, and my home-based business, and before you know it, I was lucky to read a few posts a week.

I have a 6 yo son, a 3 yo daughter and am 10 weeks pg with my third. I have bulk mail business that I run out of my home that is now so busy, I am frightened of how I will possibly manage it with a newborn baby. Somehow, I'm sure I'll get by but I do expect a lot of tears.

I just started feeling nauseous last week. I was so hoping that I would skate by without it this time, but it looks like I won't be that lucky. :-( I am just hoping that it isn't as severe as it was with the first two.

Take care, and welcome aboard! (Oops, I came out to my computer 30 minutes ago to get to work. Guess it's about time I do just that!)

Hi Kelly! Congrats on your pregnancy! I am also pregnant with my second child. My son is 2-1/2 and we are having a girl this time. Should be very interesting! ;) I was also alot more tired this time around! You are definitely not alone!! Keep us posted - we would love to hear from you!

Congratulations Kelly! I'm currently at 6 weeks and very excited! S/he will be our first.

Good luck with everything and, again, keep us posted!

Congratulations, hope you sickness passes with the passing of your first trimester! Welcome back and hope you come around often!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Stacey, we are due about a week apart. I forgot to mention my due date which is 9/10/04. The nausea is a little better but I have this terrible cold. I'm stopped up, have a sore throat, sinuses burning, sinus headache. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck! I hope I am on the road to recovery there also. I am sooooo hoping that the nausea ends with the first trimester. I am just a little worried because I am not showing yet. I have lost a few pounds but by this time with my first I was wearing maternity clothes. Maybe that means it's a girl???? I don't know, I just want to see my stomach grow! Don't hear that too often, do ya? Anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome and I'll be around.

Hi Kelly, We have a lot in common. I am 34 and am 6 weeks pregnant with my second. DS is 5 1/2. I also work from home. I used to post here and at VF a lot but I mostly lurk now.

Congratulations Kelly!

Hope the first trimester fatigue ends soon and that you start feeling better so you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Take care!

Erica

Stacey,
May I ask how you get into the bulk mail business? I would love to work out of my home as well. Exactly what do you do, if you don't mind me asking. Sounds interesting. Congratulations on expecting your third baby. Take care.

I remember you very well Kelly. Congratulations on expecting your 2nd baby. Hope everything goes smoothly for you and hope you're feeling better soon. Glad to see you back here.

Sorry Lisa, I was on vacation for a week, and think that I had just kind of forgotten to check back into this post when I returned. I was going through a difficult time dealing with morning sickness and all.

I have been doing the bulk mail business for 5 1/2 years now. My business partner thought of the idea. We just researched it like crazy, happened to have our first client fall in our lap so to speak, and just went about building our business from there. We never thought it would be what it is today, but we have had to learn a lot, and take a lot of chances. There were a lot of tears, and actually still are at times, but it is worth it to work from home with our children. It does take a lot of time and patience, and is by no means, an overnight money-maker. I think we were in business for a full two and half years before we started drawing what I consider to be a pretty small, but regular, paycheck. Year 3-4 was a good year, year 4 to 5 was a great year. And it looks like this year will be incredible as well. We're pretty well past the point of worrying about our business disappearing.

You're ahead of me and you posted that you were pregnant after me? No fair! ---- Just kidding ----

You are crazy that you want to see your belly grow! I am lamenting the fact that mine has grown--I still fit all my clothes and all, and I haven't gained any weight, but the uterus is the size of a grapefruit now, and I can tell. :-( I usually don't wear maternity clothes until 6 months and I wouldn't have it any other way. I went to Old Navy because they have these capri overalls. I'm not an overalls person, but when while pregnant, I will wear them. Anyway, they fit so weird through the torso, I don't think they will work when I'm really out there. I have such a long torso, and I need to make the straps as long as they'll go to fit me right, and I just never like the way that looks. I was bummed.

I will keep my fingers crossed that the your nausea goes away soon. It's awful, isn't it? I noticed it got less with each of my pregnancies thank God. I am sorry that you are sick. I got a sinus infection at 9 weeks and just finally felt better this past weekend. My step-daughter gave it to me. I was so mad at her!
;-) Coming over sick right before our vacation.

Take care,
Stacey
