Okay, New Challenge...How Many Of These Can You Do?

Okay, I did two sets of eight each leg. It worked EVERYTHING! Trying to balance worked all the core muscles, worked my shoulders trying to stay in the pike and really worked the glute on BOTH legs:)

I tried them just to see if I could do them - I CAN - so today I'll go for actual numbers.

You all rock!!! It's been so long since I've done a pike (I'm on a P90X rotation) I am sure I'd fall flat on my face LOL!!

Considering my track record with pikes, I don't think I'll be trying these any thime soon. I'm not sure how many more times i can fall on my head without permanent brain damage occurring!!!

Well, I'm impressed. When I work lower body this afternoon, I'll try; however, it could be too big an embarassment for me to report back.:)

None :( I can't do anything that puts weight on my hands like that...drats it looks like a great exercise too. Hmm I wonder if it would work if I rested on my elbows?

Catherine...if you are doing the P90X rotation, you will be surprised that you CAN do them. I remember having hard time with these when Cathe first came out with them and then I went to the P90X for several months. One of the first things I noticed when I added these back in (regular pikes) was that I flew right up into a pike...I'm sure due to the Ab Ripper. My core was MUCH stronger than I remembered. SOOOOOO give it a try. You may surprise your self!!!!

Leg Lift On The Ball...incredible exercise! I will be doing these on a routine basis. Anyone who is struggling to gain core strength needs to do this move.

My two youngest dd's were trying to do this. They can do pikes on the ball, little kids are nothing but muscle afterall, they struggled with this one and kept falling off to the side when bringing their leg back down...and I do think that is the hardest part of this move...keeping your balance on the downward motion.

This is really different! Gotta love it!}( :D }(
