Should I get the Step or the troy lite barbell set? Eventually I'll probably get both, but only can get 1 right now.

I vote for a step and a cheap barbell for the interim! I got a barbell over 3 yrs ago that is still going hard for only $35 at the local sporting good store.
 
Get the Original Club Step. Don't skimp & get the smaller one! Try buying through ebay if you aren't in a hurry. It took me 3 weeks but I won mine for $49 & that included shipping. So worth the wait!
 
I would go with a step also. You'll always have it. Even if it does end up in the closet or the basement. It dusts off nicely:)
 
I agree with the other posters and say get the step. I would also suggest to get the Original Club Step for the length. It's a good length to use as a weight bench. I had a Reebok step and my head would kind of hang off the end. I am so much more comfortable now.

I've been here searching all morning for a step and trying to see what the differences are,YOu hit it on the head. The length. Get the biggest one you can. I have this little one that I am trying to convince myself is okay but, I really do want a larger one to hold my body so can do the chest presses on it with ease. Or, I can use my Stability ball and hold off on the larger step so I can purchase a DVD. TODAY!!!

Oh darn it, I was hoping you guys would say the weight set. Cause that's what I wanted to get. Reason being I usually do the cathe weight workouts and have actually never done a aroebic workout w/cathe. Generally I use my treadmill for my cardio...although the weight workouts can be pretty "cardio" themselves.
 
then that settles it. If your comfortable doing the weights, you like it, get the equipment you know you will use most often. Then you'll be all psyched when it gets there and go gungho on it.
 
It depends: are you going to use your Cathe videos more for cardio or more for strength? I don't do Cathe cardio because I like to space out and listen to music during cardio, so I just use the equipment at the gym. But if you're planning to do Cathe's step workouts, you must have the Step.
 
Well I've watched some of her cardio shows and taped Imax 2 today, and I just don't know if I could do it. It looks tricky. I commend you ladies that do it everyday...you are amazing.}(
I will try it w/out the step..actually i have an Old step from about 10 years ago in the attic I could try them out with it first...then if I can do it, I'll get the new and improved step. I just don't want a pink and teal onex( But the grey and black is pricier.
So far I like to do HIIT on my treadmill and do the weight workouts w/cathe.

You guys are an inspiration........I'm going to try a step routine w/cathe.}(

Cheryl, I'm going to act like I'm talking to myself. you can do this. Trust me. Trust yourself to want to do it. You might have to step down a few times from the step but you will finish. I JUST DID. Yes, I took 3 breaks but I did it and went on to do upper body. Love this stuff.

When you get your tape/DVD post how you feel, will ya:)
