Ok - speaking of season finales

I don't often watch television, but I did cath the finale of House last night - and thought it was excellent. One show I do make time for is 24, and I thought that seaon finale was not as good as in past seasons. I think my favorite finale of that show was in the first season where they actually showed you how everything played out behind the scenes that we didn't get to see (remember how Nina killed Jamie and made it look like suicide, - that kind of stuff).

That's about all the TV I've seen. WHat else was good or bad?

I don't watch a lot of TV though I do see House here and there and thought last night's was good. Wednesdays are usually the one day I settle in for some serious viewing, so tonight I have Lost season finale and Top Chef season finale. Last week they killed off Invasion, which had a great finale.

I seen the finale of 24 and thought it was awesome. I loved the ending, I like how they didn't let the Chinese thing drop. Next year is going to be excellent!
 
Sparrow, when you say "killed" off Invasion, please tell me you mean just for the season! They are bringing that show back aren't they? I Love that show.
Will be watching Lost also!

Man, that sucks about Invasion! It was a good show.
What happened on House last night? I missed it, I was watching Desperation.

ALERT - HOUSE SPOILERS TO FOLLOW!

House was shot by a former patient, and hallucinated the whole episode which included some really graphic scenes of body parts popping/exploding.

However, the squickiest scenes involved Cameron and her UST for House. Yech, can't she just get over it?

Well, I feel like crying now. Invasion was a favorite. How can they just end it like that? Oh well, there are many more shows I like to take its place I guess.
Pathetic I am so bothered about a TV show!! LOL!!

I hate it when the cancel shows without revealing the "secrets," like Invasion.

Anybody watch "Surface." I liked that show, but it had a very short "season," and I haven't heard whether it was coming back or not.

TV guide had an article about which shows are returning and which have been canceled. I'm glad Veronica Mars is coming back (the merge between UPN and WB into C-something-or-other meant that at least half of the shows from each network would get cut. Supernatural and Veronica Mars and Smallville and America's Next Top MOdel all survived (and they're about the only shows I watch on WB or UPN, so I'm happy).
 
The best show on TV, imo, is Lost.

This is gripping tv that actually plays to the audience's intelligence. Well written, well acted, can't wait for the finale tonight!:7 :7

Me either!! I have my popcorn on stand-by for 9pm :D Lost is a great show.

I am a 24 junkie! I agree, I was expecting more from the finale, but I must say, I nearly jumped out of my skin at the last scene when the Chinese dudes grabbed Jack! It will be hard to wait until Jan '07!
 
I too am hooked on 24. Loved the ending. I can't wait for the Lost finale tonight!!! THAT is my favorite show on television. I haven't watched House all year, but caught it last night and I was totally sucked into the story and grossed out to the max...ugh! The only other show I watch somewhat regularly (missed it a lot lately) is Queen of Kings.

I think that's the thing I DIDN'T like about the 24 finale. In the past they've wrapped up the day for the most part. They really haven't done these major cliff-hanger endings. I think after the edge of your seat action all year long, it's nice to have mostly resolution. But then again, I'm not one of the writers so ...

I did see ER too - I forgot. And I agree that one was also pretty good. Have fun all you Lost fans - that's one I wish I would have gotten into.

I've never seen 24, but will have to try it. I seem to get home too late to watch the good stuff. I was sick one day last week and came home early enough to see the Will & Grace final episode. I love that show, but I found the final episode depressing. Grace Adler is my favorite TV character since Mary Tyler Moore (I mean Mary Richards).

House, M.D. is the best series I've seen in many a year. I've just finished watching season 1 on DVD. I'm psyched that there's a season 2 that will come out on DVD soon. Yay! Hugh Laurie is a terriffic actor and House is the most unusual character. Love it. I've waited years for Hugh Laurie to get a part that would showcase more than his comic talents. Good for him. :D

Drat! But what happens to Nim! And the boy!

(Maybe Sci-Fi channel will pick up Invasion or Surface? They've been known to grab some cancelled sci-fi shows from other networks, like "Stargate SG-1.")
