So please direct me ,I've been wondering about this P90X stuff I keep reading about on these fourms,I thought it was some Cathe workout (I'm New ) Only have Hardcore ....Anyhow I want in on this P90X stuff ...Help !!! Thanks :) :) :) :)

Never a dumb question here!!! I got P90X and had great results....I would highly recommend it. It compliments Cathe workouts quite nicely...:)...Carole

I have looked into P90X but the equipment is too involved for me...turns into too much $$$ and no where to put all of this STUFF you have to buy. If you have the cash and the room...I'd say go for it, judging from the reaction the work outs get on this board atleast it sounds like it's one heck of a good work out!

Yes, I think dh would bust a blood vessel if I bought this. :) I think I need to utilize Cathe to the fullest before I buy another DVD set. I hear people talking about it all the time. It must be good.

Hi Mary! Like Carole stated its a great addition & compliment to have in your library. You'll need a pull-up bar to install or you can buy a Jungle Jam from Beachbody. If you don't wish to use a pull-up bar or the Jungle Jam you can use the resistance bands instead (P90X's crew uses the bands for an option) but its not expensive equipment that you have to buy. You just have to bring it w/each & every workout!! I LOVE P90X. Go for it!! Kathy:D

I liked P90X as a change from Cathe, but I lost lower body strength and the cardio wasn't as intense as Cathe's. I exchanged KenpoX for KPC real quick and the yoga was very repetitious IMHO. It was good for upping my back strength though with all those pull ups and chin ups. And the Abs w/o is really good, but it's the only one and got boring after a while. I still use PlyoX regularly to help with my running.

I made my best strength and upper body gains, as well as core strength gains, with P90X. An ideal rotation for me would sub a Cathe lower body workout (like Gym Styles) for P90X legs (at least half the time). The cardio in P90X is not strenuous, and is not meant to be, because it is a muscle/strength building program, and too intense cardio can slow muscle growth (and don't get scared! By "muscle growth," I don't mean "bit, bulky 'Chynna' muscles).

I was hoping the Gym Styles would be a nice answer to P90X, but I've found that I can't increase my weights/reps with the Gym Style upper bodies the way I could with P90X. :-( P90X has the perfect, IMO, combo of work and recovery.

I consider it one of my best fitness purchases EVER.

P90X is the only workout series out there, aside from those that Cathe produces, that kicks butt. Everything else I have (cardio and weights related) that isn't Cathe or P90X is in my intermediate file, used only during those times when I'm sick or nursing an injury. I was only able to follow a month's worth of P90X and would like to do an entire rotation. Maybe later this year, in August, when the next schoolyear starts and my son has longer days in school more days of the week. I love almost every DVD in the series. I find myself using the yoga DVD a lot. It's still the meanest one I have.
