OK, Anyone Else Excited for the new Star Trek Flick?

I don't think it's all of them, but there are enough there to keep you busy for a little while! ;)

ETA: TNG was our favorite, followed by Voyager. Watched DS9 a bit, but didn't really get into it. Never really watched Enterprise. I have a soft spot for the original series, but it makes me chuckle now when I watch it.

I saw that episode of CSI!! LOVED it!!! :D

Yay! Someone else who saw it and got all the obscure references! Did you see the big, fake "planet rocks"--just like in the original Star Trek series?! They must have had so much fun writing that episode and figuring out the sets/costumes! :p

TNG was good and I tolerated Voyager, couldn't get into Enterprise. But I loved loved loved DS9. The first season was really slow but once Worf made his appearance things picked up considerably. :D

I don't know about that whole

Sylar as Spock thing. My mother won't see it because he is in it. I want to see it anyway. I may wait till its on dvd.

How the heck did I miss this episode???!!! I wonder if it's available to watch online...must look!

Oh yes! Go to the network website and you can watch it for free! My honey and I canceled our DirectTV and now watch all our shows either on hulu or through the network websites! I'm waiting for my baby to get back from his trip to Canada to watch this episode!!!:D:eek::D

At first, I had a problem with Sylar being Spock, but as I watch the varied previews, the more I see him, the more I think I may like him. Have to wait and see his performance and interpretation first before I make a final judgment, though! I am quite the ciritcal ST fan! :p

Sooooo.... for whatever you think of Howard Stern - he is a big sci-fi comic book geek... well he and his crew saw it yesterday and can't stop talking about it today - saying that the story is excellent - the cast is superb - the movie flows effortlessly - that JJ Abrams knocked it out of the park and the best sci-fi movie of all time. Robin is also just gushing about how excellent the movie is!!!

I can't wait!! :)

Heck NO! My brother used to make me watch those horrid shows with William Shatner. That and Dr. Who. Blech! :p:D

I couldn't get into it at first, either, but from the short previews I've seen, I think he might make me forget he's Syler.

As for fave series: Next Generation (had a hot crush on the captain), then the original (hot crush on Spock--and that episode with the alternate-universe Spock with the goatee, even though I don't like goatees, he made it work), then Voyager. Watched DS9 for almost the whole run, but got bored with it. Didn't get into Enterprise much at all, even though I did have a hot crush on Scott Bakula when he was in Quantum Leap (see how I choose my sci-fi? LOL!) (and Enterprise has THE WORST ST theme song of them all! YUK!).

We canceled our cable and watch everything online also. Take that Comcast!

I was a Star Trek Next Generation fan. I was glued to the TV when that show was on. Jean Luc Picard had the cutest butt to ever sport a tight fitting federation uniform! My husband and I always argue over which Captain would win in a final battle. William Shatner versus Patrick Stewart. For me it is Patrick Stewart all the way!

And Patrick Stewart never had to wear a man-corset, the way Shatner did for a while.

I still think Patrick Stewart should have played Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies. He would have been great!
