Such as Mackerel, Herring, Tuna steaks (not canned Tuna), etc, etc. I am just wondering if anyone eats oily fish on a regular basis ? I know it is high in fat, but it is good fat !!!!

Thanks

Anna :)

I do! Since I started this, my cholesterol plummeted... The ladies who do our workplace fitness evaluations were stunned. Mackerel is really good broiled with a little soy sauce and lime.

I eat the occasional salmon, sardines on a baked potato, etc. but I get most of my good fat from flax. Fish is good, but kinda expensive and I know it is often full of pollutants. But it is great for a restaurant meal because you can so often get a piece of broiled fish with a healthy side and not overeat.

Hi Anna,

I eat Salmon a few times a week...love it! We had Halibut ( not oily) in fish taco's last night and eat tuna fish w/light mayo and egg whites and lots of veggies ( green onion, olives, tomatoe, celery). I do not worry about the fat in Salmon...just bless it and be done with it ;-). Deb

I eat salomon, tuna, and/or sardines every day. I haven't found any issue with the fats, if anything my skin and hair is looking better. I am concerned about the mercury though...

Keep eatin it Anna....it's a good oily fat :) :). I'm a vegan, but eat fish frequently for the protein that I desperately need. I had my cholesterol checked a few weeks ago and the machine just said LO, which the lady told me meant that it is below 150. I used to be above 200. I practically live on almond butter, nuts and fish.
