I am, in NO way, trying to enable anybody! LOL BUT....since you asked. I shopped around quite a few places and was able to buy my bands at
www.jumpstretch.com, which was cheapest (that I found, at least). I bought the light band for $18.00 and the average band for $22.00. They're on sale right now and those are the sale prices, I believe. They each have a 1 year warranty on them. I used the Average Band yesterday, and considering I can't even BUDGE myself without a band, this one was perfect to get me started. I worked hard to get over the bar and the band gave me the perfect amount of 'help' to get the motion started. They have a stronger one, but I think that one would have done TOO much work for me (does that make sense?).
The only problem, though, is that the site is under construction so you have to call to place an order, and you can't even 'shop' online right now there. If you called them, they'll send you a paper catalog of sorts (it's not the glossy-type of catalog you get in the mail, rather a paper and more 'informal' one). I ended up calling and chatting with the guy, telling him my current (in)ability with pull ups and my goals and he headed me in the right direction. He was dead-on!
I know there are other places online to buy them also, and I'm sure somebody else will chime in with their preference, but I LIKED this guy and LIKED the way he took the time to personally help me with my needs. I get the impression they're a smaller company and just really enjoyed the feeling that they KNEW me. Does that make sense?
Ok.....so that does sound like a little enabling.

p.s. shipping from Ohio to me in PA was only $4.65 and it came the next day.
