<--Oh well, whatever, nevermind...

<--- will leave OAL speak for this one:

When I was first together with my SO, it was about six months after his best friend had frozen to death in a ravine near our house (that’s a story unto itself). Nick had always told my SO that when he died he was going to come back and haunt him. So anyway, I was over there once, it was about 2 in the morning and I was getting ready to go home, and I laid down on the couch for a minute. Even with my eyes closed, I could feel something was odd. When I opened my eyes, the whole room was full of mist or fog or something like that. And someone was there. I could feel that. So, I left and told my SO the next day that his house was haunted. After that, the visits got more frequent. Other people experienced the rooms filled with mist, felt the presence… eventually, Sophie and I moved into that house. One day, we were in the room where the computer was and I went into the kitchen to do something. Sophie asked if she could sit in the big black chair in the computer room, so I said of course she could. About 3 seconds later, she came in the kitchen and I said “I thought you were going to sit in the big chair?”. She said “the man told me not to”, so I said “what man?”. She said “the ghost”. There was another incident where I dropped a cherry on the floor in the kitchen and couldn’t find it and later when I went to go upstairs it was sitting on the second step. Things came to a head when, just before Christmas, my SO was out and it was kind of sleeting outside, and I decided to go for a walk. As I was walking past the bridge over the ravine where Nick had died, I heard someone calling to me from below. When I looked down, there was someone down there waving to me and saying “I’m so cold… could you help me?”.

After that incident (which kind of upset me), things tapered off and then stopped completely. I kind of miss him.:p

<---Returns to great ghost stories! WOW!
<---Says that when DH and <---lived in southern Maryland at Point Lookout we constantly ran into ghost experiences: civil war dudes knocking on our apartment door in the middle of the night, stuff would go missing in the apartment, ghost voices over DH's amplifier, it goes on and on...
<---BTW the apartment was part of an old civil war bunkhouse where they kept prisoners. DH says that they were quite cruel to the prisoners and starved them etc. Maybe that is why they haunt?
<---Says that when we moved to our home in Utah the first few months were creepy as hell
<---Explains that <---would hear twenties music coming from the basement in the middle of the night
<---Says that one morning, was standing in kitchen sipping coffee and heard HEAVY BOOTS stomping across kitchen floor in front of her (dropped coffee cup and started screaming!)
<---Says that after <---was sufficiently freaked out went to the little old lady who owned the place before us and asked her to give me a history lesson on the house.
<---Says that she told me that in the old days, families would live in the basement while the upper floors were being built and the music <---heard would be typical of that time
<---Adds that she didn't know who was the ghost with the boots but that <---would be quite all right and there was nothing to worry about...just noise stuck in time.
<---Says that every once in awhile <---hears weird stuff or the dogs freak out but <---isn't scared any more.
<---Exclaims the end! Back to mommie duties! :)

<--- loves Melissa's stories!
<--- is gaga over Liann's shoes
<--- went to get the jacket at lunch and it was gone *sigh*
