Oh man, not another P90X thread!

I'm really weird - but P90X Legs and Back kicks my butt, when I do it with focus. My butt is sore for days. I think it's just my body type because Legs & Glutes kicks me more than GS Legs, too. So I'm weird, as stated above. That being said, I did the first three weeks with P90X Legs and Back and added Legs and Glutes on a pure cardio day. (I work legs 2x a week). The 2nd three weeks, I did GS Legs instead and added Leaner Legs on another day. I just don't think 90 days of the exact workout makes sense.

I'm finishing up week 3 of my 1st P90X rotation. I lost a pant size in just the 3 weeks! Big fan!

To answer your question, I'd put them on the same level in terms of intensity. Both workouts can be as hard as you want to make them - depending on the amount of reps and effort you put it. I think P90x requires more concentration on the muscle and has more of a fun factor.
But they are different types of workouts so it's hard to compare them. Also, although it's a great stand alone workout, 90X legs works best with the P90X rotation.

P90x is magical. I sware I'm melting.

Okay, either I have the most pathetic legs ever or you people are insane. That workout literally kicked my rear. Holy crap. I love it!

Shelley - it works the legs completely differently than any Cathe workout, so I'm not surprised it kicked your butt. It gets mine and I have very strong legs. So no worries! :p

Thanks Christine!

I went to a class at the gym this morning that was supposed to be a cardio kickbox class, but there was a new instructor and guess what he did tons of? Yes, that's right! LEGS. My butt hurts:p

Sorry I'm late to chime in, but P90XLegs is one crazy tough workout. It may not feel difficult while you're doing it, but I was sore for a few days, and I stole some of the moves for my bootcampers. }( I think part of what made it great for me was that I was using different muscles than I use in a Cathe workout.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! You aren't alone! }( :7

OK, I'm convinced. Now I'll have to actually do this w/o and see for myself. But if it kicked Christine and Shelley, I'll just say OUCH in advance.

I have to agree with many. The P90X is the best comprehensive advance program for home users, period. I think Cathe tried with the HC Series, but it did not cut it. If you follow the rotation of P90X, after 90 days YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE. And I am another, who was worried about not enough cardio, not so. Also, was one who wondered about not enough legs, not so, ESPECIALLY after Plyo X. That workout looks easy, believe me IT IS NOT. I have been doing Cathe for a while, but sorry folks, got more definition along with a good diet with P90X. I am going to do the rotation again this winter. And the Yoga, Core Synergies and Ab Ripper X, can not be beat. In fact, I got more definition in my core area with Core Synergies than with any ab workout I have ever done. And still do this workout twice a week on my Slim Series rotation. It just can not be beat.
