Oh, goddesses from the H-2-0 check in, a question....

How are you all measuring your water intake? I have a total mental block when it comes to adding up my refills by the end of the day...

Thanks!

I have a jug that I bought at walmart that holds a days worth of water. I fill it up every day and make sure it is empty by days end. I think it was only $4. My DH has one too. Then my MIL and FIL wanted them and so did my DH's cousin and her husband. LOL! :)

I have a big plastic cup at my desk at work. I filled it and weighed it on the postage meter. It measures 25 oz. So, I make sure I fill it 4 - 5 times a day. I also drink water with my dinner, and thoughout the evening.

I have a big plastic cup as well. I just filled it one day and then poured it back into a liquid measuring cup to see how many ounces it was. It came out to 28 oz. I drink about 4 to 5 a day and take it with me to work and home so I can keep track.

Is 140 oz of water a day too much???

I have started drinking the Sam water bottles that come from wal-mart that are 20oz. I have been drinking just a little over three bottles. Right now that is all I can do. I will increase it in time.

RE: Oh, goddesses from the H-2-0 check in, a question.....

I don't know how many ounces I'm drinking daily. I was thinking I should buy a jug like Sabrina did so I could keep count. I know that I drink 8oz about 30-40mins before most meals, I also drink water with meals (instead of juice or diet soda), and when I exercise I drink a lot more than 8onz.

Just simply keep track one day, you know what 8oz is, so just put little tally marks on a piece of paper and count them at the end of the day. Most bottles tell you how much they hold, and if they don't, simply take something you know is 8oz and fill it up and pour it into the bottle and see how many 8oz fills it takes.

You can buy a bottle or water pretty cheap, from about anywhere. Note the size and then use it to carry with you and note how many times you fill it up. But usually if you get a bigger one that doesn't need to be filled up so often it is much easier to keep track of, then trying to count 8 to 10 8 oz cups.

Well, the problem is I never remember to make the little notations after refilling. At work I am usually running from one meeting to the next, so I am just not thinking about it, I guess.

I think I will get that giant "cup" (cooler) that everyone is talking about.... although the people I work with already think I am totally obsessed, so this will make them think I went right over the edge, I am sure, lol.

Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers,
Marie
