Carole (and other interested parties, lol).

First, I gotta repeat that I LOVE FREESTYLE. On Thursday this past week, in prep for my 10K race today, I ran the 6 mile length (kind of just to make sure that I knew on race day that I was prepared, lol). My legs felt great, but still I worried about doing all that leg work and then today's race.

ANYWAY, my personal goal has been to maintain a 10-minute mile. I went into this morning's race shooting for exactly 1 hour. I was able to run with my marathon running partner and he kept telling me that I was going too fast for him! LOL

I FELT SO STRONG and my legs never waivered ONCE! Not one time did I start thinking about how my legs hurt or anything, and today's course had 3 (not 1, not 2, but 3) pretty good hills on them that had us all frightened for a moment. BUT...again, my hips, my legs and my glutes all felt good and carried me right up and over them all.

About 1/4 mile from the finish line, before we could see the clock, I asked my partner what time he thought we made. His answer was 1:04:00. I KNEW we went faster than that, I could feel it. WE DID.

Clocked in at 57:52.

HAPPY DANCE for the freestyle and what it's doing for me!

Now, on to the NEXT RACE! LOL

Gayle, Congrats. I'm sure it felt like a walk in the park compared to the maraton. You were probably skipping in stead of running because it felt so easy. LOL Nice time.

You did awesome and it shows Freestyle does work!!! Thank you so much for posting....:)...Carole

Thanks, ladies. Sometimes I feel funny posting my personal results like this, not used to the 'center of attention' I guess.

Guess I'm turning into a runner!
